Order TWO sizes up. Srsly.

All you need to know: I’m 6ft tall, 223lbs. Street size 14-16. I ordered a size 20 and I’m glad I did. Yes, it’ll probably be a little loose once I’m in the water, but on land, and especially when trying to pull it up wet after using the loo… I’ll be thankful for the extra material. It’s cute, long enough in the torso, well made, and likely worth the money. Just size up!

Mostly Chlorine Resistant

I swim a lot, like 20,000 yards a week spread out over 4 days. This suit has held up. I did not find that it was too small, but I am accustomed to polyester/PBT swimsuits having no stretch at all. The first thing I did was take the chest pads out and throw them in the trash. I am big chested 50 year old lady (38 DD), and I had no problems with the size 18.

Extremely missized, but cute otherwise!

I wear a size 8-10 in pants and a M/L in tops - I am a 36DDD. This swimsuit is super cute, but is soooo tiny. I ordered the size 16, per the measurements on the size chart and uh...yeah... it's skin tight. I can wear it, but barely, and will not put it in the dryer for fear of shrinkage. So, order carefully. If you're a tiny person, you'll likely be in luck if you order up - measure yourself!

Runs small.

I was a swimmer for a good portion of my athletic life. I used to go get measured for a suit every year and Speedo and TYR were the only suits I wore for competitive swimming. I ordered my usual size and went to put it on and my goodness it is tight. I had to take it off and remove the pads from the chest area, I don’t really need those to swim laps. The quality is as expected from a TYR suit, however; I tried on my speedo (which is the same size I ordered on the TYR) immediately after and it for perfectly. So I think it’s safe to say, this runs small.

Not my favorite

I thought this swimsuit was interesting. As a former swimmer of 10 years, this was the first practice suit I had ever tried on that had chest padding. I did not particularly like that as they slide around. The sizing is also odd as swimsuits usually come in the sizing of 26, 28 or 30 and so on. These were in clothing sizes. I got a size 6 and would usually purchase size 30. I didn’t like how high the material came up on the back. Overall this suit is just okay.

Fits smaller than my other TYR suits

Cute Great cut Excellent quality materials Stays in place well while swimming cup liners do not stay in place well Fit is not in line with other TYP suits in my wardrobe. Fit is small.

Fits true to size, in terms of a Controlfit variety

Per the serious swimmer in our home: As a Controlfit suit, this is going to fit snugly. That said, it’s true to size within its category and is comfortable. Tyr makes some if the best suits out there, and this is no exception. Well constructed, perfect edges, consistent performance. If you’re going to shell out for a performance swimsuit, Tyr is a solid choice and this is model is no exception.

Excelent quality and color, with a but.

I got this black and purple swimsuit for a parent and child class. I want something that stays in place no matter what. Mission accomplished. But with the use of a swimsuit made for serious swimming comes some ordeals. First it is really hard to get into! Sometimes I drag myself just because of that! Second the bust is really tight. Usually swimmers has small breast and large backs. I am the opposite. So I am wondering if sizing up would be good for women with large size cup (bigger than DD). What I really don't like is the sewing line in the back botton. Finally, when struggling to put this on try to maintain the cups (for modesty) in place. Once you have this on its really hard to put them in place! For reference: I dress between size 6 and 8 for jeans and my bra are 32/34 G/H.
