Does wonders for ugly wing chair

I debated forever what to do with a soiled blue wingchair I acquired that was so ugly but so comfortable. It sat in an upstairs bedroom for years as I debated what to do with it. Reupholster it? (So expensive!) Paint it? (Might make to stiff, and might look painted.) Then I saw this. Bingo. Ordered it. Got it. Put it on in less than 5 minutes. And boom! Problem solved. Fit perfectly. Looked cottagey (which is the look I was going for). Durability I can't attest to, as this chair is seldom sat in. But for a classic, traditional wing chair that needs a quick refresh (or disguise), this is PERFECT!

Surefit Did Not Fit Well

I previously purchased a Surefit slipcover for my loveseat, and it worked out well, so I decided to try one for a wing chair. It may be that my wing chair is an unusual size, but this slipcover just does not fit properly. It's too small in the wings, which causes the slipcover to hitch up and be too short in the back. I am keeping it on the chair, but it is just a stopgap solution as it really doesn't look right. Other than the fit problem, it's a nice cotton slipcover. It arrived with dust and lint on it, so I washed it before using it, and it laundered very well--came out soft and wrinkle free. It's a fresh white color, and the fabric is comfortable to the touch. It's oo bad about the fit.

Thick enough to cover a dark print, too narrow for wide wings

Really hoped this would fit my chair, but with the wings being larger there was not enough fabric across the back to place the wing seam in the correct place, which then messed it up making it to the bottom cushion. Was well made, and did cover the dark plaid of my chair. The chair's arm area required a large doubling over of the fabric as it is made for longer arms. Seems overpriced really for the labor involved to sew it as the seat cushion is not separate.

Cute & Reasonable Cost

It’s oversized which is great just in case. I’m adding extra batting to our old ugly chair in order to fill the arms out better for this slip cover. I bought inexpensive pins to tuck the extra fabric areas as needed. So far it’s held up well but this chair doesn’t get used too often. Good material thickness to disguise an ugly antique burnt orange tweed-plaid pattern on the old chair. It isn’t easy to figure out how to put the slip cover on; directions could be more in depth or a couple pics to show where to start since there’s a lot of fabric to work with. I love shire slip covers because they’re easy to clean in the washer with a little borax and bleach. To spot clean I use Shrout & a hand steamer as needed. Very worth the little money spent.

Fits My Wingback Chair Perfectly

The solid white cotton slipcover fits perfectly on my wingback chair. I dyed it with Rit dye, and it looks fabulous! I used the color Wine and it turned out a great mulberry color.

Large enough to fit

I really like the fabric, its durable . I like the cotton thickness and feel. The size was more than enough for my wing chairs. It does need ironing or steaming even if you wash it. Obviously it does wrinkle with use. I bought 2 and used them to cover wing chair recliners because the color didn't coordinate with my decor. The white is true. And I can accessorize with any color curtains, pillows, rugs, etc. Is easy to take off and wash. A little struggle getting on the first time, but easier the second time. Be mindful it will shrink in hot wash and hot dry.

Happy with purchase

I was looking to replace an older thread worn set of slip covers I’d bought several years ago in a like color (off white) & style. These fit the bill. I’d wanted a lighter color however this color works out fine. As other reviewers pointed out the fabric is a bit thin, wrinkles easily and the fabric can be seen through. This fabric doesn’t have any stretch but has ties in the back. I use a wooden spoon to push excess fabric into the crevices for a better fit. You just need to work it a bit. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Baggy and thin material

I wanted to update my chair look with white denim. It feels nice but once on you can see through it. The arms don’t fit right. It has been made to fit super large arm chairs too but this makes it baggy on a regular sized chair. Overall it looks okay. I find the price too high for this item.

Looks like a bedsheet

Very disappointing..looks like a white bedsheet…looks nothing like the photo.
