This tarp is not a ground tarp. It is more of extra rain protection over tent. The material is light weight tent material.

Great for ultra-light hikers.

Wife and I use this for ultra-light hiking. No need to speed experience fans name prices. Just reinforced the grommet holes with gorilla duct tape and then added my own grommets and now it is super strong. This is our second one. The first one wore out after six years. Got our money's worth out of that one for sure. Expect the same for this one too.

Mini-tarp? I don't think so

It was awful thin------and tears easily. I must have thrown the other two away as I only saw one. I can buy plastic 'table cloths' larger than this at the dollar store for a buck which is probably what I'll do next time.

The seller description was very misleading. We cannot use this item. It was advertised at a ground sheet to put under a tent. This tarp could be punctured by my little finger so I cannot take it overseas and risk it tearing. I've had to buy another tarp elsewhere. very unhappy!!!!
