Sharp edges!

These boxes would be great, but the construction is sloppy, leaving sharp edges I had to hammer into place to avoid cutting myself on the box. The latch is also not very durable, and came apart with a moderate tug on the lock. I have ordered quite a few of these boxes, and most of them are ok, hence the 3 stars. The constructions seems to have gone downhill recently - my first set of boxes over a year ago were fine.

Use this for meds kept in a fridge. Has kept the foster kids out so far. Doing its job.

Lightweight to medium security; OK for really small kid security. Durable for kitchen or art supplies with thoughtful use.

I bought these for pantry storage after an infestation of mice. The lid is tight-fitting and the steel is sturdy enough for this purpose. If you want a true lock box for security, that will be moved around often and really needs to be locked securely, this is not your box. The metal for the lock flap is thin and could be twisted off. If you want it for really little kids, it will be fine, but an adult or big kid can easily pry the latch apart with a butter knife or screwdriver even with a small padlock. For my purpose, it's perfect as I will not be locking it all, just closing it tightly. It won't dent unless you drop it or bang it really hard. These are good for inside, household use. For volume size: you can get 3-4 bags of rice or beans in the box, as an estimate.

A bit disappointed

The hinge almost immediately broke off and I couldn’t find the pin to keep it on. Difficult to carry my tools in it without that hinge!

Sharp edges

Good box but poor finish work. A lot of rough, sharp edges that will result in cuts. We wrapped all edges and corners with duct tape to prevent further cuts

Nice Shiny Box

This box is a little too light weight for my purposes. I need something a little more industrial/thick gauged metal. I will gift it to another family member. Otherwise, a nice box, but not quite what I needed.

Too short for kitchen knives

I bought this to keep knives locked up. I should have measured my knives before purchasing. This is too short for the size of knives in a standard knife block. The product itself is fine but is more for steak knives etc. rather than large kitchen knives.

Good Sturdy, Light Metal Box

pretty sweet box. i'd say it's about 10x10cm by about maybe 24cm long. Keeps my stuff safe from sticky fingered relatives "borrowing" without permission. someone couldn't get in without you knowing it was tampered with.
