Good sharpener

Other then bining a little on the bulky side (still fits in my pencil bag), its still a great pencil sharpener. I purchased it due to the fact it can sharpener two different sizes and it looked like it was to last and I was right. I'm very happy with it I have used it a ton in college as well as my classmates.

It’s amazing that I don’t have to worry about the pencil contents coming out from the sharpener. We use it all time with no issues at all.

This was the best lil pencil sharpener I've ever owned. It's extremely easy to use and clean. Sharpens so good. Unlike others that end up leaving your pencils choppy or uneven shaving.

Best Portable Sharpener

Nothing like my previous metal staedler

I had my previous basic staedler for over a decade. Worked like a charm, but unfortunately got lost. This is nothing like it. Pencils, in particular colored pencils cannot be sharpened effectively and constantly break off. I ended up purchasing Kutsuwa STAD T'GAAL Angle Adjustable Pencil Sharpener (RS017LB) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B006CQW2LQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , which is an amazing pencil sharpener I recommend you purchase that instead.

No tub - just a sharpener

Where’s the tub? Bought from Five Boys so be warned. Have to pay return postage so not worth the aggro. As a sharpener it’s ok but it’s not what is advertised.

Solid heavy duty sharpener

Maybe it’s weird to get excited about a pencil sharpener, but this one really stands out from the rest. I always preferred Staedler sharpeners as I found them consistently good. This model is better than any other sharpener of the same brand I’ve used. You can see this in the photo compared to another Staedler sharpener: the metal on this one is much heavier and noticeably higher quality. I also like that the flip cap that covers the sharpening holes folds completely flat on the side. On top of that, being able to sharpen at two angles depending on your needs is a really great feature.

Unfortunately, a staedler product that is made in China.

I've used Staedler products a lot over the years (not much anymore as I have upgraded to FB), and have had marvelous results from all of them up till now. This sharpener didn't even last one art session (4hrs of graphite work), before becoming so dull I couldn't use it for anything other than my stick eraser. Now I'm back to using my 4 yr old sharpener (made in Germany with German blades). Still works like a charm. The only reason I even made this purchase was because it has the hamper attached to catch shavings. My other $4 German made unit is open faced.
