The perfect line for picking up....gas

This here propane line looks like an ordinary ol line, but let me tell you, it's not!! It's a 5 ft line!!! It's longer than hobbits and most women are tall!! And that right there beats a poke in the eye any day. Got this here bad chicken to run from a propane tank to a portable hot water heater for camping purposes when the zombie apocalypse hits. Or, you know, plain ol camping with your mom. She likes the outdoors and all. But don't be fooled, she likes the indoors too if you know what I mean!! Wink wink!! Freaky little devil she is!! But it's all good, thanks to this here propane line, she can get all clean with nice hot water after being freaky now!! You can't beat it!! A must have for all your mothers outdoor excursion fornication needs, or even for regular type camping, grilling, or better yet, making a nice BBQ trailer and having plenty of room for the design of your choice when placing your propane tank!! Do I recommend his here line, you betcha!!

Installed it today, cooking tonight

I have a Charmglow propane bbq that sits outside on my deck. I bought it 5 years ago and about a year ago my wife and I noticed that the flow of propane was only strong if one burner was on. I wasn't sure it was the regulator, so I bought this hose kit and installed it. it was very easy to install. I unscrewed the large brass nut and off it came, on the new one went. I started the bbq and ran 4 of the burners and adjusted the red valve to let the propane flow to what I think should be the highest setting. I now don't need to adjust the flow, as the bbq has its own adjustments. Cooking bbq organic chicken as we speak!

Adjustable propane regulator

The stock regulator that came with my propane smoker made a fire that was too hot. This device allows me to reduce the flame to a much lower level, and now my beef jerky doesn't taste like charcoal! Just be careful when you use it for the first time. If it's cranked up, it produces a much hotter fire than you're used to and will tend to flame up when it's lit. I've got the singed hair on my arm to prove it! The adjustment knob operates counter to what you might be used to. Turn clockwise to increase gas flow and counter-clockwise to reduce. Start off at the low end to be safe. I use the regulator knob to get the gas flow in the approximate range I want, and then use the smoker's flame control knob for fine adjustment.

Nice for the Price

I purchased this to make a portable fire pit for the local scout troop. The area camps require all fire 18 inches off the ground and no ashes left behind. This regulator works very well for this application. I did have a concern that the end fitting leaked, but a few inches of Teflon tape made sure of it. I'll order another soon as my smoker hose is getting cracked from age and too much use. My only request is to offer a few more hose length options. 5 feet is OK, but 6 or 8 feet would come in handy.

The only reason Im giving this a 4 star is that the control knob could have been tighter and have some markings on it as to know how OPEN the knob really is. Sportsman LPHK5 5-Foot Propane Regulator Hose Hit.

This hose fits my Sportsman stove, and the 5-foot length is long enough for a safe operation. I have not used it for camping or hunting, but I tested it once I received it, and it works perfect with excellent gas flow. ***After using it several times on camping and hunting trips over the summer, I can say that the Sportsman's Single Burner and this gas line work perfect. They are a perfect combination if you want your Sportsman's Single Burner to work. This gas line allows me to adjust the level of gas to the stove, and the stove works every time. I also have a propane grill by Mastercraft, and this gas line fits it perfectly as well.

Works great. Exactly what I needed.

This regulator works great. Got it in the mail, smoked awesome ribs the next day. The worse feature is how sensitive the adjustment knob is. Just a touch changes the flame considerably. Not a huge problem though. The flame stays steady as long as you don't bump it. Hose length is good for my back porch smoker. Connections are right. Not much else to say about it. I do recommend this kit.

Works perfectly

Works great and as advertised. The adjustment knob is reverse threaded, so when you screw it all the way "in" you are actually turning it all the way open, whereas your tank will be fully closed when screwed/turned all the way in. The knob is labeled correctly, and it works fine, it is just not intuitive and it caught us off guard because we did not look at the tiny writing on the knob. Also, having it open full will allow too much gas for many appliances, so be careful when first using, and probably don't open it all the way. We have to turn it down about 2/3rd the way for our outdoor heater. Anyway, no complaints. 5x stars.
