Great for couch covers

I have been looking for a large drop cloth for a project that I would like to do. I finally found the size I needed and I have purchased a total of three of them. I am making couch covers and I have some long and unique couches so normal couch cover do not fit or look nice. So, I decided to try this method. And these drop cloths work really well for this. I purchased a few oversized pins to hold it in place and it works beautifully. The drop cloths are a really good quality and when they do get balls on them all you need is a fabric shaver to shave them off and it is pretty much brand new again. They are also really easy to wash because you just throw them in the washer.

Outdoor Movie Screen

As others have previously stated, this canvas drop cloth smells quite musty. It also is sort of a Frankenstein of sewn together canvas's. I could see 3 visible seems where cloth was stitched together. It was quite thin as well. That being said we used it as a screen on our barn for a movie night and it worked beautifully. Left in the yard in the sun most of the wrinkles came out, and it worked very well.

Great DIY curtains

Perfect for making cheap, large curtains. It would have costed me three times as much or more to buy curtains from Walmart for the size window I needed to cover. I cut this cloth in half so I could pull back the curtain to each side if I desire. If you want a 100% no sew solution, do like I did and purchase this dropcloth along with some curtain clips. I’m super happy with the results and while these are not blackout curtains, no one can see through them at all.

HOLDS UP TO ELEMENTS AND KIDS

Used two of these as a canopy over my artificial grass over the summer. Worked like a charm and kept the grass nice and cool. Stood up to rain, wind and kids trying to throw toys at it. I also attached grommets and rings on edges and attached the rings onto a wire pully system, so it can be pulled open or closed based on my needs. (this also did not impact the fabric integrity) I just took canopies down getting ready for winter and canvas is in excellent shape. (No dry rot etc. Needs to be washed, but no big deal, as it fits into washer easily.) For price this is a superior quality and I am very happy with this purchase. Seems it will be good for many years.

Large and served the purpose, but not seamless, and not ideal for much floor protection

I purchased this to use as a backdrop for my birthday party Photo Booth. I washed it to refresh the old smell that it comes with (the cloth and packaging lend to that) and it served the purpose for what I needed. Lightweight, easy to affix to the wall (but I had to use cleverly placed staples form a staple gun). However, it is too thin and too transparent to serve as a floor protector of almost any kind. It would need a plastic lining underneath (as we did) or some other material that actually "protected".

Good Value for the Price

If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line professional drop cloth, this isn’t it. It’s a mid grade product. Edges are not seamed. I think it’s worth what you pay for it, but I’d be very careful about painting on them. Paint would soak through them pretty easily. They’re more for dry projects keeping dust and maybe drywall mud off of things.

Not 100% cotton

Wanted to bleach, but it's a blend of cotton and polyester. Could not find this info anywhere in the description, but it is on the packaging. Also smelled vaguely of mildew. Returned.

Not as specified

Not all that satisfied with the product. I think it would be fine if you just used it as a drop cloth but I stretch cotton canvas drop cloths for large scale paintings. On the first picture it states that the product is 100% cotton, which is why I bought it, however, on the packaging it specifies that it is cotton/polyester blend. There is also a big seam going down the middle (basically two drop cloths sewn together), the weave is pretty loose, and the smell is pretty bad, as mentioned in other reviews. Unless you’re using just for the purpose of a drop cloth, look elsewhere.

It is a useful tarp

Why would anyone want a sheer tarp?? No it is not sheer! It is of adequate thickness and will do nicely to protect our carpet while painting.
