Different design

Well it’s a crimper. But nothing like I thought I was getting! Very well built but I believe I would of like the 1 in the picture better.

Different product than advertised

The picture beside the original ad was a PEX crimp tool with a handle for completing the task. When this one arrived and required vice grips to operate, I was disappointed. I hope you will change the ad and insert the correct picture so others won't be misled.

Bait and switch is not cool!

The item pictured was not the item delivered. What came is larger and far less convenient than the version I thought would arrive. It is heavy duty and it will crimp pex but —— I had the other and wanted another. Kind of like getting screwed at the drive through.

Doing it the hard way, and not very well

I borrowed this tool from a neighbor to install a cut-off valve in 1/2" pex tubing. We had problems with this tool from the outset. The crimping force must be applied at the narrow end of this tool with another pair of pliers. It is not easy to do. My husband used his large channel-lok pliers, and couldn't produce enough force to close the gap on the crimper jaws. As a result, the copper ring was not crimped evenly and ended up somewhat oval shaped, and failed the Go-NoGo gauge test. We found another neighbor who had the long-arm compound leverage crimper -- it resembles a bolt-cutter, though not as long -- and that worked like a charm. Two crimps later, the job was done right - in less time than the one crimp attempt we made with this tool. Don't waste any money on this cheap compromise. Put it toward getting the real crimping tool.
