Works well when it is not stuck

It needs to be cleaned often as any kind of build up in the hinge can cause it to stick in the on position. There’s also a risk they can stick in the off position and find your boat at the bottom of the lake.

Reliable float switch, but needs a lot of water for activation

I keep my 18' panga in the water moored to a big rock here in the tropics. We get a 140" of rain a year, and most of that at night, so I need a reliable float switch that activates my bilge pump so the boat won't sink during a big rain. This switch is reliable. BUT, the switch doesn't close until the water level is pretty high. The switch needs a quicker trigger so the boat doesn't have to get so full of water before telling the bilge pump to do its thing.

Just installed it this morning and that went well and manually it works. Shuts off a little quicker than the old float switch.

Work fine

Do what it have to do. Not much instruction for mounting. Had to figure out that under the base there is there is 2 notch to bend to separate the base from the float itself to ease the installation.

Not reliable

Purchased in 2020 and tried twice only, in March 2021 ( few hours) to remove spring water near my house . Now it's very hard to switch on/off. I want to replace it using two year warranty .
