elegant but not gaudy

We decided to replace our older, gold (brass) fancy door handles in the house. The brass ones we had were way too decorative, and looked dated. We found these online, thought they would work; and once hubby put them in the door, I knew instantly that we had the right ones!! They look elegant, but not overly fancy. You shouldn't notice door handles. These are just enough to notice they are nice, but not enough for a stranger to draw their eye to the door handle. We will ikely replace the rest of the house with the same!!

Solid and Easy to Operate

Solid and nice looking, also easy to assemble-what more could you want?. The 2 problems I had were with the door frames, an error in routing the hole for the striker, and an out of square door frame. They use symmetric handles so no re assembly is ever required and no right left lever is necessary. The lever style is far superior to the traditional knob especially if you have weak hands or wrists. The Bed Bath lever version has an easy to operate push lock, it stays locked when jiggled and the pin emergency release works every time, it makes a satisfying "snick" too when unlocked. I used the Hall Passage lever for everything else and recommend drilling pilot holes for the striker plate screws. These comments apply to new doors after a contractor remodel, older doors will require more time, and you may need to check the sizes and locations of the holes bored in the door as well as the cut outs in the door frame.

Nice w/ Minor Scratches

The feel of this handle is nice but we ordered two and they both arrived with a few scratches. We kept them because we will most likely scratch them some ourselves through time but for those that prefer the polished handle look - be warned that they don't offer free returns and you may end up with a handle with some scratches.

Easy to install, works great!

I have no complaints. These replaced similar-looking levers without a lock because I have a very clever cat who can open doors! I like the way these lock/unlock better than similar Schlage levers that require turning the lock rather than just pushing in a button.

Nice update

We bought these to update an older house. The finish is perfect....not brassy, but more antique gold. Clean design went with both our modern additions and things we could not change. Very nice!

Just what we needed

This is just what we were looking for. I have arthritis and it is easy to open and close. My husband loved the fact that it was very easy to install. It was also a good price.
