Great contemporary design and solid build.
Finally switched new house to levers. So easy to open with full hands now. Love the contemporary look of Merano and the design/material is 10X the Kwikset garbage it replaced. As some have noted, collar can be difficult to pop-off. For initial install, grab some rubber/poly mallets with black/yellow side and give it a quick wrap with hard non-marring yellow side. When taking it off door, there is one divot in plate and three indentions. Pry from the divot with a window/upholstery poly pry tool. Both tool sets can be picked up from HF or wherever for cheap...

Terrible design, difficult installation
This is a nice looking handle, but very difficult to install. First, the instructions that come with the hall and closet set have nothing to do with the installation of this product. Second, you need to somehow yourself figure out that you need to disassemble one of the handles in order to screw the two parts together. Good luck. There are no online videos, no instructions on how to do it and in the process you can destroy the handle and not be able to return it. If you think that Ikea furniture is hard to put together (FYI: I find Ikea instructions very easy to understand), you will struggle mightily with this hall and closet set. Overall, very unsatisfied with the design and instructions. Update: turns out there is no other design for Merano "passage" locks that is easy to install. You can either struggle to install this one or buy this set plus a "dummy" handle that replaces the difficult to install part and itself is easy to install. So, you would be paying well over other brands. All for a non-locking closet door handle. Very disappointed.

Nice door knobs
We have a bunch of these in a new house. If you're getting one that locks (either with a button or key), they can be partially disassembled so the handles face the right way. These have a nice finish and work smoothly.

Hard to disassemble the cover plate for the screws. Otherwise they are very nice door handles.

High quality at a better price than the big box stores. Simply use a hard object to remove the cover. One quick firm knock and it separates.
