Will not seal.

I ordered the 18 qt. And it didn't seal at all. Maybe the smaller containers would seal. But not the 18 qt. I got. I will still use the containers for marinating. The containers and lids are made well and are not really flimsy. But they will not seal.

You'll need to buy the container for this, but together they create an airtight space for my 25lb bag of flour from Costco.

It works on the 22 qt container, but...

Love the color and the fact that there is a lid for the 22 qt container, but it does not seal well and the price is too high for something that should come with the 22 qt container anyway. For me, I needed the container (which is very well made) for a 25 pound sack of flour. The container is perfect and very well made, and when I called Amazon to confirm, they assured me a lid was part of the deal. No lid came with the container; called Amazon again and they again confirmed a lid should have been there. So, after mailing back the container and getting a second container (again lidless) they said I could send back the container again and they would do a full product review which could result in pulling the product entirely. Well, I wanted the container and saw they sold a lid separately. Amazon has fantastic customer service and worked with me so that it wound up costing very little for the lid and they didn't have to deal with another return.

Doesn’t fit out of the box, but after a little pressure, it seems reliable now.

Initially, I felt this lid was too large for the 12 quart container. It kept popping off immediately. I flexed a little internal lip on the lip back significantly and after some banging it now seems to work. Ideally I think it should fit better right out of the package.

just...the...LID?!?

Okay, i know i should have read the description more carefully, but the fact that it's just the "lid" is not made abundantly clear. Especially considering the photo shows the entire vessel - with the lid! Just show a pic of the actual item, or make it more clear that not everything in the photo is being sold next time please.
