Fit just like old one that quit working

Works great but one screw hole is really hard to Get to. It’s at tight fit where mine is located and 1 mounting hole is nearly impossible to get to and there were NO instructions to help youout

Larger than the Last Version

A little pricey but it is Rule, so I'll pay for the quality. However, be sure to read the measurements. This looked exactly like the one in my mid bilge shower/sump box but it barely fit as it is much larger. Check the measurements before you purchase to be sure it will fit your needs.

STICKS ON AND DRAINS BATTERY ULTIL IT DIES.

The switch sticks on and drains battery until it goes dead. I can ban on t to turn off, and I have repositioned the switch twice to see if make a difference, but still get stuck. Just going to install a different switch in the same location.

I had read a few negitive reviews of this product so I tested it thourghly prior to installation. The main concern was that it might have had negitive reviews due to the float switch hanging up on the housing. I inspected the action of the float switch and could not find anything that would cause it to hang either in the open or closed position. For this installation I needed a protected housing around the float switch since it was in an area where other objects could possibly fail and block the float. I repeatedly turned the switch upside down to activate the switch and submerged the switch in water. Everything worked as expected. I rated this a 4 since it worked under my test. Siince it is connedted to a secondary bilge pump I will not know how well it works in real conditions unless the water gets pretty high in the boat...I never wnat to hear this pump go off!

Full season with a dry cuddy cabin. Works perfectly.

I bought a used boat two seasons ago, and had water in my cuddy cabin every morning when I would drive down to the boat. Once underway, that water would drain to the rear (through a floor drain) and the rear bilge pump would get rid of it. This year, I investigated and found a corroded bilge pump and float switch in the "fore" area of the cuddy cabin. I replaced them with Rule products and my boat's been dry every time since. No more wet tackle bag down below.

Rule-A-Matic Plus Float Switch Good

I am impressed with this switch. It is semi enclosed to prevent debris from holding it down, preventing its operation. It also has an external lever to easily check the bilge pump operation operation when the water level is low.
