I like it

I wouldn't a high-mid grade glove and this has worked well. My daughter is 10 playing comp ball. We'll get the expensive one when she needs it, but this glove is great for this level. Much better than the cheap store mits.

Not an elite glove

This glove is a good starter glove for kids, but not great for over the age of 12, when kids start throwing harder. Got the fastpitch 1st base glove for my daughter and even before it was broken in, she said the ball hurt her hand coming in. That shouldn't happen with a 1st base glove when it is new. I checked and there is very minimal padding compared to other gloves. And yes, she is a pretty high level, 14 year old, AAU player who knows how to catch a ball in the right spot. Not much padding compared to other 1st base gloves. Again, good starter glove for the price, but not near the level of the higher end gloves. If you want a glove to last through high school, go with a better model. If you want a glove to learn at young ages, this is probably fine.

Breaks in fast and good quality leather

Great glove for my 12 year old travel ball player. She loves it and she catches everything with it. She had it for 2 practices, some work at home, glove oil and throwing the ball with me and it was nice and broke in for her first scrimmage in a week.

Perfect glove for my 12u player

Glove fits perfect has some room to grow into it. I did take it to get steamed and beaten to break it in faster the glove oil and normal use. Would recommend.

Update, dangerous, do not buy!!!

I hate having to rewrite this review because the design of the finger placement and overall size are great for women with smaller hands plus we have had numerous Rawlings products throughout the years, but this product is dangerous. This glove only survived the fall and part of the spring before the back of the pocket blew out (see photos). If we had not noticed the pocket and she had taken a line drive, we could only image the potential physical harm. Since the product failed within the 9 months, we contacted Rawlings who asked for photos of the back, front, and zoom in of the damage plus receipt. After supplying this information, they have not returned a phone call or email. I would strongly recommend avoiding this product as it is obviously inferior, and the Rawlings company is not willing to stand behind their product.
