Much Better Than Expected - Very Nice
This is for general information for potential buyers who may have doubts on the actual size of the vest. I am 5'11" tall and 155 pounds (about 70kg) with a small-to-medium-sized belly. I bought a L/G (large, normal length, not the long one, not the big one) which fits perfectly well. The cutting is regular and hence there waist is not tapered, which is the style I have been looking for (similar to the famous vest from Gene Kranz of NASA or the one from Ed Harris in the movie "Apollo 13"). This L/G can cover my belly well with a decent look without being too loose at the upper chest. It is snug enough at the chest and arms. In terms of length, it completely covers my belt of a medium-waist pants and is further down by about 2 inches. Hence, for those who are about my height and those who are even up to 6'1", there is no need for a long size - a normal length goes a long way. In brief, it is really true to size. The chest pocket measures 6" in depth which is deep enough. The waist pockets measure 4" in depth which is sufficient unless you want them to completely cover your Samsung Galaxy S10 when you carry it in the waist pockets. Quality is fine whereas the color is bright white (a truly white, not ivory). The back has a silky look that it even shines brighter than the front - very very nice ! I am totally satisfied with this vest in terms of color, quality and size. Delivery is quick as well. Hope this helps others who are hesitating on buying it or not. I recommend this product particularly for those who look for a regular (not slim) cutting.

RUNS SMALL!!!
Nice fabric. Looks good. Well made-- BUT HOLY CRAPS! I wear XL (46L), and this dude runs small. Can't button the front, tight at the armpits, short length.. Whoa! NOT COOL! I *strongly* recommend ordering the size you think you are and 3 sizes up. So I'm returning this one, and I've ordered XL Big n Tall, XXL, XXL Big, and XXL Big n Tall.. Only going to keep one but I have an event to attend in a week. Can't screw around now. I ordered the matching jacket and pants to arrive soon.. now I'm worried.......????

XXL = 44-46
Not sure how they are staged (going up a size equivalent each X maybe?) but the XXL regular is an exact overlay of a 46R slim fit three piece I have. Which is probably closer to a 44R vest as my trousers are 39s. I don't know if this means a XXXL would be a 46 or not, but hopefully this helps out someone. The material is fantastic. Just know if you order the size you normally wear (I generally wear an XL Paul Fredrick or Joseph Abboud vest) you'll have to fast the day before you wear it.

This item is smaller than expected.
This item is smaller than expected. The Large was too tight. (And it was made in China.)

Fantastic waistcoat for the price!
I never thought Perry Ellis would be a fashion line that I'd get excited about! Sadly, an unexpected death in my family occurred, and I had no time to go shopping, and wanted at least a waistcoat to wear, instead of just a formal shirt with slacks. I found this on sale on Amazon, and it arrived the day before the funeral. Ths XS I wore still has a tiny bit of extra room, even when fully cinched. It polished up my last-minute ensemble, and if I decide to get it tailored, I know it'll look even better. Cotton-Linen for just $37!

Buy a size up!
6'2" 210lbs. Athletic build. Typically I wear a Large Tee, opted for an XL vest as these run a tad tight in the chest.

Fits well, a little bit large.
Ordered size small. I'm 5'9", with slightly long torso (or short legs), 145 lbs. Fits fine, not trim. But the cinch strap in the back (as with all decent vests) adjusts for that. Like cars, men's clothing in a given size seems to be growing. I used to wear medium or large upper body clothes (I have pretty long arms for my height), now I regularly seem to fit better with small. Luckily, sleeve length is not an issue with a vest. Finally, I'm 60 years old, so I'm not trying to wear clothes that are too small as many younger men seem to be doing. "Somewhat large" means that I tighten the cinch strap a fair bit. Fits very nicely once that's done. With the rest of the suit, the vest adds a bit of sharpness, and without the jacket, a vest definitely adds class. To my old eyes, anyway. My wife approved this message.

Stylish and Functional
True to size and looks great

Sizing seems to be far too loose.
I don't understand why it is that sizes can be so maddeningly incorrect! We have two well known measurement systems, but the clothing and footwear trades use their own bizarre, random schemes. Usually, I find that I need to buy larger sizes, but in this case, the garment was completely, hopelessly too large. I donated it to a charity clothing shop.

Versatile and sharp
I've worn this a handful of times, both casually like the model and once formally. It's built well enough to wash at home (tags say DCO). Breathes enough to wear swing dancing, and the linen goes with most outfits. I mean, use your judgement. If it had a little spandex in the weave it would be perfect. Fits a little on the big side, but not enough to go with a different size. I bought a M according to the size charts and use the pulls on the back to adjust to my waist. (I'm about 40-34-38). Usually I'm a men's small / slim shirt.

Okay
Decent look. Was way larger than I wanted due to a lack of many sizes between too small & too big. Trailers to remove both side panels and worked great... though that negated any deal savings. Back material a little cheap looking.
