My son's favorite!

I ended up buying 3 of these. 1 for my son and his best friends. They make a mess and you'll be finding bullets in random places for a week! I was a little worried it would be too big or too heavy for 6 year olds but the 3 of then can handle these easily!

Powerful

I test fired this nerf gun before reviewing and I will say that it has more power than a basic nerf gun. I strongly recommend never using it indoors because when I shot the target the shot bounced off and hit the ceiling. Nothing got broken thankfully but I advise against using the gun in a house or apartment. For outdoor use only.

Missing the bullets

Hi! I bought this for my son for Christmas and it didn’t come with any bullets in it, which came as a disappointment to him when my husband opened the same gift and it had a whole bag of bullets. I love buying the used but still new products to save some cash, it would’ve been nice to know that there weren’t any bullets though.

Expensive but works great

The price is high but it works very well. I prefer this over the cheaper Nerf Hyper line because it’s easier to retrieve the balls (these are larger) and it’s safer (you can feel the hit without risking bruising or getting into the eye) and it does not jam.

Fun to use! We need more Rivals!

The media could not be loaded. I recommend you also buy the separate rechargeable battery. You'll be using this all the time, better invest than waste money buying new batteries all the time. Very fun to use. A little heavy than what I expected as an adult. Jusy a little expensive with the shipping fee.

Super fun

The gun is a bit heavy, so I wouldn't recommend getting one for a small child. I would say for teens and preteens this would be a good gift. Of course adults would love this gun. I let my mom shoot it and she loved it. If you shoot someone with it, it does sting, although the balls are foam, they sting a bit, but they don't leave a mark!

6 D cells aren't going to cut it.

The media could not be loaded. When I first got this blaster I immediately fired 6 D cell batteries into it because the RECHARGEABLE battery pack is still on its way. The thing was terrible. Amazingly underpowered, balls barely came dribbling out the muzzle The performance was so pitiful that I immediately went online to REactively read reviews. Seen all of the complaints of exactly same thing. I'm here to tell you that just like so many of those reviewers, I too thought this thing was junk. Then I wired it to a Milwaukee M12 12 volt battery. And holy heck. It's a different machine. The nerf battery pack still isn't here yet but IF it performs ANYTHING like this 12 volt battery, then you have got to get it. Zero question. Extra charge, yes but it unlocks the gun. Kinda like a micro transaction. You gotta get the dlc. I'm giving 4 stars because of the extra hidden charges needing the rechargeable nerf battery pack and all and I gave 4 out of 5 value, because again of the hidden fees to unlock beast mode performance in the blaster but also you get 100 rounds with gun which is not an inexpensive amount of ammo. I've provided video proof.

Warning thisproduct does not function very well without a proper battery

You need the battery Hasbro made for RIVAL exclusively to shoot properly, otherwise a normal set of battery will dry out and the performance would not allow you to shoot continuously!
