Great tool to have if you drive an import like me

I hate that I had to buy this tool but I had no choice. I drive a European car and absolutely needed it. Could not find it at my local auto store or anywhere else that I looked. Good O'l Amzon came through again. Alot of people said to use a substitute-tool but I did not want to risk stripping. Once again, I hate that I had to buy this tool for a DIY repair but am glad I did. Tool worked as expected and is the genuine article. Thanks!!!

Perfect so far in my book

I own a 2000 Volkswagen Golf. Perhaps this may be obvious to you already, or maybe not - these triple square bits are nearly essential to have when you own (and work on) a German car, and, conversely, will NEVER be used if you own ANYTHING non-German. It's just a German thing... Perhaps just a VAG (VW, Audi, Porsche) thing as I cannot remember running into these fasteners on my BMWs... Never owned anything Mercedes though. This being said, I ordered this triple square bit set in anticipation of me removing my door lock actuator on my driver's door. On these Volkswagens, the actuator is held in with 2 8mm triple square bolts. Yes, I could have possibly jammed a specific size slotted screw driver in, or modified the bolts to accommodate some other removal method, but I figured 'what the heck?' and ordered the kit for $13. Nifty little case! Now I can put them back and stow them away for maybe when I need them in 2022. Who knows? They seem to be made of satisfactory quality. Similar to what I'd expect from Craftsman I guess. They worked beautifully for my task - removing 2 8mm bolts with blue lock-tite. I cannot comment how well they would hold up to higher torque demands, but for $13, can't go wrong!

What you see is what you get

It’s not rocket science, but these things comes in handy. Most VW and associated brand use these types of bits to remove screws from say the seat anchor point to door panels. These are not Torx bits (6 points) but more like a 12 pointed star so don’t get it confused and try and remove the bolts with a Torx bit.

Great addition to the toolbox!

As a hobby mechanic working on my own cars, i obviously don't run to this set on a daily (or weekly.. or even monthly) basis. I purchased it to perform a wheel bearing job, and I'm glad I did. It's a nice bit of kit, sturdy enough to withstand quite a knocking from a big impact wrench when taking the old bearings out... I know it'll probably be several months if not years before I need the little blue box again, but when I do, I'll be glad it's there!

Good quality Torx tools

These tools seem to be well made and presented in a nice box. I have used only one it impressed me, and I hope the rest is as good. Time will tell. Nevertheless I recommend these tools

DIY indispensable

VW owners that want to do their own maintenance cannot do without this indispensable set of sockets, a must for any serious Do it yourselfers. Saved me a ton of money by enabling me to change brake discs and bearings on my VW. For durability, seems fine so far, but not something I use everyday, I may tell you in a few years.
