Built for functionality

Nice thick hinge straps. I cut the barrels so that they could be sandwiched together to use as a hinge to support a swing-up extension to my workbench.

Be sure to buy a 7/8” rod

The media could not be loaded. The straps are great but there’s a misleading information that you should get a three-quarter inch hinge pin. It actually fits very very nicely with a seven eights bolt hook which I also bought on Amazon and as shown in my short little video. Be careful that the suggested items at least when I bought was like a half inch pin which is just way too small for the eyelet of the strap. So 7/8. 7 7 7. Seven man, seven chipmunks crawling on a branch… step in my office, you’re fired…???? Update: so just to help you out if you have a very very thick beam (I’m attaching to a 9 inch beam) then these Bolt hooks work great with it it’s what is actually showing the video. National Hardware N130-708 293BC Bolt Hook in Zinc plated,7/8" x 12"

Double check if the hardware is what you need.

I like how the bracket fit to my custom gate it was very sturdy. I didn’t like how I had to bore out the hole for the hinge pin. It was not a great value for the money.

Very sturdy strap

This strap is very heavy duty. It will hold up to 150 lb. Note, this fits a 1/2 inch hook. I made the mistake of buying a 5/8" post/hook for it.

Good quality.

Made a leaf plow. Used these for attachment. Strong enough for my use. Should be plenty strong enough for a barn door.

Can hang a steer with these 24"straps

Awesome strap strength. The strap arrived with a massive grind spot near the "first" hole at the bend. Since this strap is zinc plated, now that zinc protection is not there at that spot. It seems there was a large burr or mishap at manufacturing, so they decided to grind rather than dispose. Unfortunately, I will need to repeat (as some cost) rust protection sprays on this.

Safe, quick, secure

Used this to keep my bed/dinette up against the wall in my Toy Hauler (RV). The road vibrations used to cause the bed to fall down with a standard eye/hook on rough roads. The added latch kepts the hook from popping out when going down the road.

Does the job

A bit pricy, but worked well. Took along time to receive after ordering too. Would recommend.

No indication on the opening but it' 1/2. only fit with 6-inch bolt
