Very quiet. Good for large rooms
I like that this device is quiet. It Blinks constantly so you know that it is on. If you have an issue with rodents in your walls, it only takes a few days before it gets quiet. This repellent works. You will need one in each room for full effectiveness.

Updated Score from 5 star to 3 star.
Update 9/3/19: had to set it down to 3 stars. I hadn’t been back to give an update sooner but about a year after the last update the product didn’t really help much. Eventually had to resort to the electrocution trap. Not sure if the item actually worked or not and maybe it was just luck but given how bad the situation was before placing the product and how long we went without seeing the little buggers, I’m sure it worked it just didn’t work for long. I’d love to be able to give it another try if it was able to be fixed or something just to test it out but not worth buying another. Maybe try it if you’re having bad issues but if it’s just as a preventative I’m sure there are cheaper options. Updated (12/29/16): Today we found a little friend. It was dead only a few 6-7 feet away from this Pest chaser. It's the only one we've seen since we set the Victor M793 out and it was dead? We hadn't set any poison out since before we got the item so it definitely wasn't poisoned by anything we had set out. Maybe it was just so dazed by the sounds that it decided to die? Will keep you updated. Update(12/11/16): its been about 5 days since I left the review and still no evidence of rodents :). It's like they never existed. I have even left some bacon for the past 4 days in the Victor Electric Trap(turned off because I want them to trust it, if anything eats the bacon I will turn on the trap after a few days) on the other side of the building about 20 ft away with a wall in between them and the bacon has remained untouched. Unfortunately I can't review the Victor Electrocution trap because this Ultra sonic pest repellant works so well :)but I prefer to keep it that way. I've had this product since last Thursday. We quickly found a spot and plugged it in. We cleaned the entire area to easily spot any rodent mess and now Monday we have yet to find anything new. We were literally cleaning the area nonstop only to find it messy the next morning. We tried poisons and sticky traps to no avail so I bought this and the electric trap. We didn't have batteries for the electric Victor trap so we haven't even installed it yet because it's our Plan C but it looks like Plan B is working just fine!

This actually works great for mice
I never believed these electronic pest repellers worked and some of the cheaper ones I bought didn't. This one actually works perfectly for mice. My apartment building is infested with mice. My downstairs neighbor has 3 dogs and leaves food out for them all the time. He also never cleans and you can see pizza boxes piled up in the kitchen through the window. It's the perfect home for mice. Eventually, the mice climb up through the walls into my apartment. One year, I caught 7 mice over 2 nights. I had gotten some cheap electronic repellers, but eventually they stopped working. I bought some others that didn't work and within a week, I had mice in my apartment again. I was hesitant to get this one because it's quite a bit more expensive, but I gave it a try. I haven't had one single mouse in my apartment since. I know exactly where the mice come in, through a hole for the plumbing behind my dishwasher, so I set this repeller on the floor pointing right at that spot. I never even hear them in the walls anymore. I've had friends bring dogs and cats to my place to visit and they don't notice the unit at all. This isn't the cheapest pest repeller, but it does work great. If you have a big problem with mice, it's worth the money.

Racoon and Mouse Problem Gone!
Problem: field mouse running in the attics, and recently, one timely and consistent racoon came down the trees on to the roof and ripped a small gap on the side allowing the said racoon (and more mouse) to get in and out the attic. We have several fruit trees in the yard, so I believe these small animals are here for the buffet. Drove me insane around 1-2am. Got the Victor M793 after reading Amazon reviews, ordered it around 1:45AM and received it by 5PM, plugged it in, and started to work slowly night by night. The first and second night, yep like clockwork, I would hear the racoon coming down the tree, running across my roof, same route to the place where he/she clawed a gap. BUT- with the repellant on, the racoon would not enter. The mouse problem also improved because I do not hear little footsteps running inside of my ceiling anymore. You'll have to put it in the right place allowing the sonic wave to travel, place it somewhere central and point it to the general direction where you've been hearing noise the most. When you turn it on, it has a very faint buzzing sound, my dog doesn't seem to be affected by it. The M793 also has a pulsating red light. Not police siren red, but a dim kind of red. I guess small critters will find it annoying, even blinding?!?? We live in the suburbs of LA. We have the usual urban small animals running through our yard grabbing fruits and finding shelter- possums, squirrels, rats, mouse, stray cats. The worst on the list are skunks and racoons. I have "mastered" skunk- Havahart cage and a generous wad of peanut butter- done! Racoons come down from the trees on to the roof, so they're a bit more tricky and sneaky. I have this machine on every night since purchase on 5/29/2015 and today is 6/30/2015. Haven't heard any noise in my attic or inside my roof since the purchase, so.... highly recommended.
