Looks right

Bought these as spares for my Briggs & Stratton 1696619 v04... the OEM bolts are metric M8-1.25 x 38mm (b&s # 707555)... these replacements are 5/16-18 x 1.5" dang near identical. The lockouts aren't nylocks but that doesn't matter. The shear points appear to line up well. For all intents and purposes I don't see why these wouldn't work. Will put them to the test when the time comes.

I have a craftsman snowblower and luckily the pin is all that broke when we had slush snow. Found this replacement and was shipped fast to me. It also fits great and a good price.

Shear pins

Identical to the OEM pins that came with my snow blower when it was brand new! Keep spare pins on hand because it’s too late to get them when they shear off protecting your expensive auger!

Yes! Really! We've kept our White snowblower working for 30 years! Great machine, probably why one cannot buy one anymore. Cripes, the company can't make money unless it's obsolete!

Snow Thrower Shear Bolt In Stock

These are shear bolts. Shear bolts like these are used in a variety of different snow blowers. They break away if the snow thrower auger blade gets jammed on a piece of ice or a rock. It stops the auger from tearing apart the drive shaft with the jam. My snow thrower is brand new and it's my first time owning a snow thrower so when I snapped the first shear bolt I had no idea what was wrong. All I knew was the auger wasn't spinning. A tip from a co-worker pointed me in the right direction so I went to my local big box hardware store who very knowledgeably informed the shear bolts are over with the snow blowers. But of course they are all out so I did what I should have done to begin with and come to Amazon and ordered 20 of them. They arrived in three days and my snow thrower is back in business. I will stock up again before next winter and run an ad in the local paper selling them for $100 each. (Just kidding).
