Very good tool for serpentine belt install and removal

Well made from the feel and sturdiness. Have used one time and my sweating, finger barking and frustration greatly reduced. If you have tight space (any front wheel drive I think), great tool to have firt serpentine belt install.

Very helpful to replace serpentine belts

This tool works great. I initially got a bad one, but I contacted the seller and they were very quick to send me a replacement. The tool helps replace serpentine belts on just about any engine, but is especially useful on FWD models where the engine is facing to the right. This allows you to get a grip on the belt and place it over pulleys where your hands wouldn't fit. I definitely recommend this tool

Does literally one thing, but does it well

There is literally only one use I can think of for this tool... but for that purpose (getting a belt around tight areas) nothing else will do.

Outstanding product. Definitely a must have!

Using this product for a serpentine belt and tensioner replacement on a 2010 Camry. This Camry model has two tensioners and two belts. I’ll go out on a limb here and say it is nigh unto impossible to do this job without this tool. I firmly believe that Gear Wrench makes the best version of this tool. Please be aware that doing this job without this kind of tool, will place your hands and fingers at great risk. I highly recommend buying one of these as it is worth every penny.

Works as expected

This is a great tool, and is especially great when you have a need for its specialty, getting a belt on and off pulleys in a tight space. The action to pinch and release is smooth and easy, does not bind up or get caught on the way. There are some quality shortcuts that were taken, but for good reason. This is not a wrench that is in your hand all day, it is a specialty tool, so adding cost to this for cosmetic and comfort is mostly wasteful. The reason I deducted one star is not because of a lack in performance. First, it is due to price. This is an expensive tool for having a single task purpose. But when you need it, you are happy you have it. The last reason is when I received mine, the rind that holds the round plate up to the spring area was loose, sliding up and down the rod. It was an easy fox, just take a hex key, slide all back into place and tighten it down. The reason for deduction is design. There is nothing that the screw goes into, it just threads through the retaining ring and puts pressure on the rod to hold it. It would have been nice to have something to make it more secure. If it could loosen up in transit to me, I would expect that it can just as easily loosen up with use. Overall, this is a great product and a perfect compliment tool to the serpentine belt tool set if the price is within your budget.

Great tool for tight engine bays.

GearWrench makes good stuff, and this is not exception. Being able to install or move a serpentine belt in a tight engine bay where you can not possibly get your hand it great. I am pleased with this purchase.
