Great Purchase

Look up the recipe for Glazed Maple Shortbread Cookies. I use the maple leaf cookie cutters for these. Great presentation and the plate empties completely wherever I take them. Get ready for compliments.

Great product; Eh quality

For people who're saying these are too small, what part of "mini" didn't you understand? No, it doesn't say exactly how big they are, but "mini" implies small and you seem disappointed and willing to give the product less stars because you didn't seem to comprehend these aren't big. Anyway - I used these for the first time yesterday. They were exactly the size I wanted/needed. They cut sharply and the finished, baked products looked just like the cutters. Very happy with that aspect. However, what really detracts from these cutters is that in my attempt to clean these, they rusted something awful. They were covered in flour and little sticky bits of dough and needed to be run under a lot of hot water with a lot of soap to get them clean. I set them out to dry and checked them this morning: they're rusty as all get out. I've never seen something rust so quickly. Considering these cutters are to come into contact with baked goods I'm selling to the general public, I'm not 100% sure I'm comfortable letting rust-covered cookie cutters touch my products. Some people say a bit of rust is no big deal and others say don't even risk it. In short: Great product. Works well. Rusts like crazy, so be sure to keep water contact to a bare minimum unless you don't care about rusted cookie cutters.

Itty Bitty Cookies But GREAT for Fondant and Pies

I bought these to use mostly with fondant to decorate cakes and larger cookies etc... They are great for that and also to make decorative additions for pie crust. As cookie cutters they are way too small - unless you want to make dozens of bite size cookies which, personally, I don't have the patience to do. I would have given them 5 stars if it just said "cutters" since they are perfect for some uses, but when the title says "cookie cutters" I have to take a star for being misleading. Also, I read somewhere else that to keep small metal cutters from rusting, add a sprinkle of corn starch in the bottom of the container. I haven't had them very long and I do not put them through the dishwasher, but I did that and so far they haven't rusted at all.

Just what I needed

As in my review of the snowflake cutter, I could not find a leaf pattern of a cookie cutter in town. Happened upon these while searching Amazon for the snowflake cookie cutter. I have not used them yet, but will in a couple months. My intent is to cut cheeses in the leaf patterns, arrange them around a dish of relish/jelly in the center of a tray, using enough cheese to make an awewome presentation. They will be just the size for a cracker with the relish on top.

Great variety of sizes!

This was exactly what I was looking for...a smaller maple leaf cookie cutter! The two cookie cutters I already own are larger than I wanted. I could only get between 12-14 cookies out of one batch of Canadian maple shortbread cookies. I use the 2nd and 3rd smallest of these, but for the very resonable price why not have a big selection to chose from? The largest is probably too big that what you need, but it may come in handy for some who want larger cookies. I highly recommend these cookie cutters. The work very well. The handy tin is a nice bonus too. It makes storage a snap.
