Good choice

These work very well. My dog loves them. I was surprised @ how easily they wash & especially how well they dry when hung outside. I expected them to hold water like crazy & be hard to spin dry in the washer as well as take forever to dry when hung out. But they did better than bluejeans on both counts! They can take a complete corner to corner, end to end soaking by my dog & still not drip when picked up for cleaning. The paper pee pads always dripped or even worse so I had to immediately toss them into a bag or something before carrying them to the trash. The backing on these cloth pads have not shown any cracking or peeling from the washer as of yet either & appears to be well made backing (feels like a tough textured vinyl). I did notice that after washing the 1st time that the cloth top pilled a lot & it’s not quilted across the top like human bed pads are. So I had a feeling the top fabric would fall apart rather quickly w/ washings. But after more washings, it’s not gotten any worse & seems to be just fine. Expect pilling w/ the initial wash but don’t fret that your purchase was a bad one. If my washer isn’t making them worse, they’re made well because mine were washed in a compact automatic washer that has small agitator fins that are VERY ROUGH ON FABRICS!!! These are holding up great & doing a fantastic job for my dog & she loves them! I’ve since stopped worrying that they will fall apart & very glad I made the switch from paper doggy pee pads for my dog. I may still keep some paper ones on hand if it’s too rainy to hang them outside to dry because I don’t want them in my dryer, but I regularly hang other things out throughout winter & things do dry just fine even in the cold. I just can’t feel if they’re dry or just cold, so leave them out from morning to before dark to be sure. Once folded & inside, they warm up & I can tell they are always dry. These doggy pee pads were a good decision for me! They function much better than paper ones, save me money, & amazingly don’t stink up the house. BTW, I do keep a $3 plastic reach tool nearby for the occasional turd removal.

it works!

So this is an update to my previous review when I couldnt quite get my dog to pee on the pad directly. it took a bit of patients and rewarding consistently but she definetly goes on it directly now and I couldnt me much happier. Its easy to clean and easy to dry. SO helpful! and less money spent on pads. It is rather small and wish it came in bigger sizes. I might have to get one more set. but I am honestly happy with this! I'm not sure if its just my dog or there is something about this. My dog who is a Daschund mix refuses to potty outside. We could go on walks for several hours and the moment she comes home, she walks to her training pads (disposable) and does her business. She is pad trained since she was a puppy. so she knows to do her business on pads even if they are different brands. However when I replaced the disposable pad for this one, she smelled it and did her business right next to it. I tried cleaning up her mess with the pad so that her smell would be on it so she would get the idea like she did with the disposable ones. However she still has decided to use it. Its been about 4 days now, so if things change I'll update. However the pad itself is durable and easy to clean. I have no complaints there.

Misleading

So I feel duped. It says 12 count in the listing which I thought meant I would be getting 12 of them for a really good price. However it’s only one grass mat. If you look closely at item description it only lists one item. Not sure why the added the word count to the listing to confuse people. The mat itself is fine and works great I’m just upset at the misleading use of wording.

My dog loves this thing!!

My dog loves this thing!! He pees on it. Poops on it. And even Sunbathes on it. I've had mine almost a year now and didn't take too good of care of the grass as far as cleaning it all the time which I'm a little embarrassed to admit. It was long overdue for replacing the grass cause it started to get super yucky looking from all the pee. I do have those pee pads under the grass to catch his pee on so it preserves the tray and is easier to clean up. The thing held together and was still all in one piece when I threw It away. No fraying or anything like some reviewers say on some of the competitors grass patches. This one was quite durable. Honestly the grass should probably be replaced every six months. I've had mine almost a year and just now got around to replacing it. It was way overdue for a grass replacement. Cons - replacing the grass costs almost the same price as just getting a completely new one. Wish the replacement grass was cheaper but still I think I got one for around 10-15$. So still quite affordable. When I first got it he went right over to it and knew immediately what to do. I hear some people have a hard time getting their dog to pee on it. I didn't have this problem but something I read was if you want a dog to pee in a certain spot you should put some of your own pee on that spot first and he'll smell it and "mark" it with his own scent if you know what i mean ???? and once a dog pees in one place they tend to always go back and pee there. Also can't remember if the grass came rolled up in the originally package or was laying flat but the replacement came rolled up and didn't lay flat. I took some pebbles from outside and laid them on the edges where they wouldn't lay flat for a couple of days and that worked like a charm. No problem with the grass curling up after removing the stones. I'm actually thinking about ordering another one for the other corner of my patio since my dog likes it so much.

Great Pee Pad

Purchased this as it's almost fall and I can't be buying dog diapers all the time. The doggy pads are great clipped onto this product. My dog used it within 10 seconds of placing it on my balcony. The fit is tight to set up but I like a product made like a glove. It's a good size quality.

Great product

very easy to clean and easy to maintain. I actually put a pee pad underneath the grass to help as well with easy clean up, the only problem is that grass at the corners are not secured enough so have to use mini clamps to secure it to the base

Big mess

It works in order to train your dog to do their business on the grass HOWEVER it should really be secured with a clip or something. My puppy is 3 months and 3 pounds (very tiny) and he's able to pull the grass patch out and make a big mess with the fake grass and pee pad underneath it (BUT when i leave out the pee pad only, he leaves it alone) . So if a 3 lbs puppy can do this mess, I don't dare to imagine what a german sheppard puppy or any other puppy can do. It's not very "puppy proof". Overall I wouldn't waste my money.

The material was awful the pad is so stiff that you have problems putting flat...I have bought 4 other pads in the past and they we're all soft right away and these two are junk and I am really not impress with them...They are going in the garbage and will change companies.

Much better than pads

This is a great alternative to pads and of course accidents. I give it only 4 stars for two reasons - it's a bit tricky to empty without spilling (I'd recommend draining it into a small pail or container right on the floor) and the tray slips around on hard floors (rubber feet or backing would be nice). Otherwise, I'm very pleased with it. Both our elderly dogs and our new large breed puppy took to it right away.
