not the best, but still helps my posture

first, of course it took a bit of getting used to, both the kneeling and the saddle. i kept my nasty "task chair" around for breaks for the first little while. the adjustability is a little lacking. there's one point of adjustment that raises and lowers the seat, which coordinates with the knee position, but that's it. i wish i could scoot the knee rests down just a smidge to get more of my shin on the pad. also, the back wheels are at a funny angle on their casters, so they don't swivel as well as the front wheels, which is unfortunate for rolling around my "ample workspace". the first stool that arrived had an issue at assembly, but amazon took care of it, of course. overall, my posture is much improved and i love love love the torso mobility and not being slumped in a chair all day. i like the saddle seat for better pelvic alignment and hamstring support over the flat seated kneeling chairs and the wheels are a must even though they're not perfect. i got this chair on sale for $65, so i'm not complaining, but for those of you who aren't around during a sale, maybe shop around a bit more for better adjustability, properly functioning casters, easier assembly, and better price.

It works as far as taking pressure off the lower back. the pads that your knees rest on are not at the correct angle for people 5 ft 6 and under it digs into your shin bone. If the knee pads were movable then it would be great. I am going to modify this chair by breaking the welds so the knee pads move freely and if that is a problem I will re-weld it for my leg angle. The chair is easy to get in and out and doesn't take up any more space than the standard chair.

Great for someone who has back problems sitting

I hurt my back and using this chair, I could sit at my computer for extended periods of time. The seat was very comfortable. Once my back healed, I reverted to my cushioned seat and passed the chair onto a friend who was looking for a kneeling type of seat. The only reason for a lower rating was that the manufacturer used two different type of screw heads for the assembly screws. and with a sore back, that was a great inconvenience as I had to find and use two different type of screw drivers. I suggest the manufacturer consider using the same type of heads for all the assembly screws.

good for short periods

it's great for changing it up if you sit a lot, but it definitely hurts my butt if i sit too long on it... wish they padded it better!

I really thought that this would help my back, but it really hurts my knees. Seat is kind of hard and I can't sit on it for too long.

Poor quality

I have to be honest, the seat size is good for me. I know others have left bad reviews because the seat was too big for them, but it really depends on your glute size. I like the comfort of the seat and it relieves a lot of lower back pressure. However, the when the chair arrived in the box there were paint chips everwhere! I had to clean the frames with a towel just because I could see paint chipping off. I actually had one of the paint chips puncture my finger from just picking up the frame...very disappointed. Also, the adjustable screw is very rusted.

Love it

I bought this seat for my sister. She absolutely loves it, but it is a little big for her, even with it set to its lowest seat position (she's 5ft 3"), so her knees slip a little. I still give it 5 stars because that hasn't stopped her from using it. She even brings it to the dining table for dinner. Definitely a win regardless of it being a little big for her.

Not for short people...

I was anxiously looking for a way to relive hip pain at work. One thing that I discovered about this chair is that the knee pads are not adjustable (the sit adjustment doesn't help with this). If you are a short person (I am 5'2) then your knees will hit the pads but not be supported. I wish I knew that first...
