Pretty decent if you're sick of dealing with the bamboo mat
Does the job, the one downside is that you're stuck with a preset thickness for the roll, so if you're used to stuffing your rolls with lots of ingredients you might make a mess (like I did) my avocado came out of the roll when I squeezed it and so far I've not found the right amount of fillings so that it doesn't just ooze everywhere when I close the two halves. Cleanup was a breeze though thankfully. You're also stuck with one design (nori on the outside) I've yet to try if you can do this with no nori or with sesame seeds on the outside and nori on the inside like my mom likes it (she's not a fan of the taste of nori).

Roll on Sushi
I like this product I have been rolling my own sushi for years and have been looking for a quicker way. It takes some getting use to but it does do the job and makes stuffing what you want better. There are two points. One you aren't able to flip it and put you stuffing inside with the rice on the outside. You also can't put a great deal inside and make a much larger roll. However for the price very good

Easy Sushi Indeed
My daughter loves to make and EAT sushi. If you can afford the big expensive sushi rollers, I`d recommend you purchase one. But...if you`re on a budget like myself, this much cheaper version is the way to go, or so I`ve been told by my sushi girl. Over the years, she has purchased all types of sushi makers/rollers, which make claims to be the best value items for the job. All of them have made their way to the trash bin, along with a whole in the bank account. I saw this item while browsing amazon, and decided to make a last ditch effort to find something that actually did what it said it could do. I bought it as a Christmas stocking filler for her, and apparently, Mumma did good. She went home and proceeded to make her beloved sushi (of which I am sorry to say, I`m not a fan) using this latest gadget. Next thing I knew, I was being sent photos of her finished product, along with hugs and kisses to say she was most pleased. I might add, that the main Christmas gift was a rice cooker, so she was truly over the moon. Added bonus was, it also makes sushi rice. That`s the story. What more can I say. It actually does what it says and was value for money.

Too small. Only good if you make small rolls like cucumber roll.
I was very excited finding this on Amazon after watching the video. I wanted to make sushi and egg rolls. Not designed for California rolls. It's too small. Definitely not worth $ 26. You can only make those small rice paper rolls - Vietnamese or Thai style. Not the Chinese egg rolls. I tried to make sushi and Vietnamese summer rolls ( not fried). I was successful with cucumber rolls. I have to use the small rice paper for the summer roll and reduce th filling (have hard time folding the edge). I now see a larger version and may be the larger version will work.

Our family loves sushi and my kids wanted to try making it. I saw this gadget and we decided to try it. It's super easy and works great! Perfect rolls every time. We love it!

Skeptical at first, almost as good as a sushi chef.
Bought the sushi maker was skeptical at first. Opened up the packaging and noticed how simple the product is has a clam shell design with a piece of plastic that you pull out. Took probably five minutes to figure out how to use it. After you figure out how to use it is very easy and fast to use. It's fun if you have people over at your house for a social activity. had friends over and we made different kinds of sushi it was fun experimenting and seeing what we could make cuz it was fast and easy to make. Cleaning up is very simple the only thing I would recommend is pulling the black towel out of the plastic and rolling up a paper towel or something else that absorbs water and threading it down the hole to clean the water out. I do feel like it is overpriced for what it is. Feel like this product should be 10 to $15 for what materials this product is made out of. But overall it is easy to use and makes great sushi rolls that are delicious. But the deliciousness will depend on your skill as a ninja sushi maker good luck grasshopper.

Worth it!
Back when I purchased this sushi roller, I paid about $25 dollars. At the time, I thought $25 dollars was pretty expensive for a sushi roller. However, after receiving the item and making a couple rolls with it, I can say with all honesty, it was worth it. I'm vegetarian, so I don't eat fish. I always found myself bewildered at the prices for vegetable sushi. I mean after all, it's just vegetables and rice, the cheapest foods on the planet. I eat quite a bit of sushi as well, so $6 dollars a roll would add up fast. I mean, I can purchase all the ingredients for veggie rolls for 6 bucks and make 10x the amount I'd get premade. Now coming back to review this item, months later, and I see the price has gone up to $29. Do you know what? If my sushi roller was taken from me today, I'd be back here purchasing another for $29. It's incredibly easy to use, the product itself is sturdy, and it makes PERFECT rolls every time! And even at $25, this thing has SAVED me money. If you eat a lot of sushi, especially vegetable sushi, this sushi roller is worth it hands down.

It works, sort of but breaks easily
We got this for our son for Christmas. He used it a few times but when it accidentally fell a few feet, a part broke off and it is not usable any more. It won't roll up. If you want a sushi roller kit, go for a more expensive and sturdier one like the mats. This doesn't work very well overall. You get what you pay for I guess. We would not get this again.

Makes good roles, but quality and engineering can be better for the money
Makes great rolls, but quality could improve, given the price (feels flimsy); the plastic film might break if one pulls too hard, have to watch out for that

WOW on how easy this is to make sushi
I have to say, is when I saw this online I thought WOW this would make the job of rolling my sushi rolls easier. IT'S FANTASTIC on how fast and easy this roller is to make my sushi. I don't use rice, so can't comment on that, I use sobu noodles, which are better for you and filling. IT ROCKS and would highly recommend. I am sure with rice it would work wonders as well. LOVE IT!!! HIghly recommended to anyone to roll their sushi. Not a huge mess, and easy clean up. So simple, anyone can use it.
