This one Won’t lay flat

Not sure how or even if this can be fixed, but it has a ripple and won’t lay flat. I’ve never seen this happen before and I’ve used these products for quite some time.

Better than nonslip shelf liner or silicone placemats

December originally was used for rehabilitation purposes by occupational therapists, so I, as an occupational therapist, became aware of it some decades ago. It’s available as both mats, at about 5 mm thick, and rolled sheets at <1mm. I use both for multiple purposes. It keeps the pets’ food and water bowls from migrating all over the kitchen floor, provides a really nonslip surface for food trays or fo keeping plates securely on the table (great for small children), for opening tight lids. I’ve wrapped it around a tight doorknob in order to more easily open a door. I’ve even known an occupational therapist friend to use it for making nonskid booties for her very old dog that was having trouble with slick floors. Great stuff.

Makes a durable and portable landing pad for wheelchair transfers

We learned about Dycem from our physical therapist, and started using the rolls of thin Dycem, to get a comfortable but grippy surface to help with wheelchair transfers and exercises. That works great but it's not so durable. This thicker pad works really well as a portable pad that is much more durable but still gives us a grip.

Dog feeding mat

I have a dog who is afraid to eat his food from any bowl or plate. This was a last resort for this poor little doggie and it totally works for him. A flat not noisy plate that will not move.
