The Best Of The Best Converters

DROK sent me an email asking me for my input regarding this product. I don't normally take time out from my busy schedule to do reviews, however, I must say this particular product is very impressive. I'm a hobbiest and am using this Converter to supply many 5 volt d.c. projects, most of which go from the bench to the field for portable use. I've tested this power supply, and can only say that DROK got it right. The voltage stability is the best I've ever seen, and exceeds anything that I have built over the past 5 decades. This is the best of the best for value. At about a buck an amp, it's worth every penny. Keep making these DROK. The only improvement I could possible suggest, is to implement reverse voltage protection on the input side, saving the user the extra time to add a suitable Diode or Mosfet circuit.

You get what you pay for.

These are incredibly cheap, small, and cool running; but the output is very noisy. I put a 5 amp load on the 20 amp version, and the output has very high peaks at around 100kHz and smaller ones at much higher frequency. Adding a capacitor array across the output should quiet that all down. I just purchased and tested this power supply, so have no long term experience yet.

Very very bad product!

Received this product and wired it to 3 meters of expensive 2812b 5V LED strips and it burnt them all up! I knew this after I measured the output voltage on my multi-meter and it showed 12V in and 12V out. So now I am out $80 of expensive LED's because of this junk product. I highly advise you stay away from this company as you can run into what happened to me and ruin many expensive parts they will not replace. There are at least 20 other companies on Amazon that sell these voltage converters and I highly advise you deal with them instead.

Item appears well made. Shipped quickly. I hooked to a 12vdc supply and it output 5.138vdc. I never tried it under load, but expect it to perform flawlessly.

Amp rating is orders of magnitute too high

I bought this to power an LED display off of a 12V battery (solar) system. After only ~2A load, the output has a terrible sawtooth with 6.2V peaks. I don't have a capacitor bank large enough to test the actual amp-pushing output of this device, but based in the width of the pulses I dare say it will not keep up.

Excelente calidad. Muy buena presentación y materiales. Algo grande en tamaño pero el disipador es muy bueno. Mejor de lo que espere y bien empacado.
