Good quality seat wrench.

On occasion I would need this tool and did not have one. I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg for one either. I originally had the idea to repair these stupid Chinese water bib fixtures. But the hex opening for them was too large for this tool. So the pieced together hose bib splitters and elbows go to the trash where they belong.

6 sizes, 3 hex and 3 square, but NOT universal

I bought - DANCO Tub and Shower 3-Handle Remodeling Trim Kit for Sayco, Chrome (39620) - that came with everything but the seat wrench. I bought this seat wrench because it is universal. Turns out that the seats have a square contact in the center that is smaller than the smallest step on this wrench. I decided that since there is no measurement system with any of these that it makes no sense to order another brand/type. I filed mine down until the new seat fit onto it.

The machining and plating is inexact and rough. This is a cheaply made tool but it is probably fine for non professional use. The smallest square size was about 0.5mm too large to fit Danco's own bibb seats on their 9B-3C stem (Sayco style). I ended up shaving a bit off with a Dremel grinding stone. I originally tried just shoving a flat head screwdriver in there but I ended up needing this tool to break free 50+ year old stems. Gave it 3 stars since it did still save my bacon, despite the trouble.

Necessary tool to remove the Bibb seats

Easy to use. Arrived as expected. Better then the tools sold at the local hardware stores at half the price

It might work!

We needed to cut both ends to make it work! It’s too long to remove or replace the faucet seats! We needed another tool to get the job started but still it did some part of the job!
