I wish I Bought This Years Ago!

I always wondered why people raved about cast iron enameled dutch ovens- And now i know! I watched several videos on YouTube and this one was ranked in the top three, coming in second on America's Test video to the horrendously expensive Le Le Creuset.... When it arrived, it did have two tiny pen point chips on the rim, but I really don't see how to avoid that with this type of material. ... I was stunned at the wide bottom and depth- Which meant it has way more cooking capacity than I expected! I compared it to a stainless steel 8 qt. pot, and in actual cooking surface, there is no comparison! Being heavy, yes, it is a little more of a struggle to wash and rinse, but to actually cook in it is a dream! If you've always had trouble fitting the food you want to cook into a pot and had to do it in shifts, I really think THIS one will accommodate nearly everything you want to cook. It's more beautiful than the picture- A more blue toned Strawberry type red than an orange red. I love it. I expect to use it all the time!

Yes, the black interior is enamel too!

I just got the red frying pan with black interior. In the many answered questions, there was a doubt as to the interior finish of the black-enameled pieces. It is definitely enameled on the inside. It is not a glossy enamel, but it is definitely enamel. The box also states it very clearly. I took a picture of the box and posted it. Looking at the inside of the frying pan, I can see that the finish is smoothly black and different from my regular cast iron skillet.

Still working like new after 3 years

I bought my Cuisinart Dutch Oven about 3 years ago and it still cooks like new. I think it is a great option compared to some of the higher end brands that cost a whole paycheck. I use my dutch oven at least twice a week and the enamel still cooks like new and the heat distribution is consistent. Great product!

Everything sticks.

I was expecting a nonstick surface on this skillet. It’s beautiful to look at, but everything sticks even after seasoning the pan. Very disappointing. It sits on my stove for looks only.

Small heavy grill pan

I ordered the Cuisinart grill pan after our last grill pan had gotten scratched up. I was surprised at how small and how heavy this grill pan was but it easily grilled 4 frozen hand-patted burgers for lunch today. To drain the grease I had to use two oven mitts, one on each hand because it was so heavy. I’m happy with the purchase but to buy a bigger one I might look for something lighter. This is more like a cast iron skillet feel, though it is dishwasher-safe.

Great!

I enjoy using this French Oven Casserole so much! It works great for so many different kinds of cooking and baking. I can see and access what's cooking inside. An excellent choice at a reasonable price. The casserole didn't come with protectors for storing the lid with the pot, so I ordered silicone 'cable winder' earphone cord clips and snipped off one of the wrap-around wings on each one. With four of them positioned around the rim of the pot, the lid rests without rubbing and abrading the enamel or exposed cast iron. You could also store it with a cloth under the lid, or just be careful not to knock it about.

Fantastic enameled cookware at a fraction of the cost of the French stuff... with some minor flaws

I've used this a lot over the last year or so, it's holding up fantastically well. Providing you're cooking with it properly, nothing sticks that you don't want to stick and it cleans up like new every time. We've slow cooked sauces and high-heat braised beef in it, and it's holding up well. However, there ARE a few small chips and dings, mostly around the lid or on the lid edge, which is unfortunate but doesn't affect anything about function; I have to assume that would be the case with any of these type of heavy cookware. Time will ultimately tell how it holds up, but I'm optimistic based on our experience so far.

Beautiful piece of kitchen cookware

I bought this as our Iron anniversary gift. My husband has become the chef of this household! He's old school "seasoned" cast iron and I'm a germaphobe, "scrub" everything with soap. We've found our "happy place" with this beautiful, enamelled skillet. Can't go wrong with it.

Hard to clean

Nice pan, but meat tends to stick and therefore, it is very difficult to clean.
