Pretty pattern but uneven

The Portofino plates are a pleasant pattern, but very slightly uneven—you really only notice it because the color on the edge of the plate is uneven. That might or might not bother you. The bigger concern for me is that the pattern feels slightly rough to the touch, which makes me worry that they’re improperly sealed. If so, the pattern could rub off over time, and a pretty pattern that rubs off is worse than no pattern at all. However, there’s no way to tell for sure right away. Other than that, other concerns mentioned in reviews (warping, for instance) weren’t a problem. Still, I’m concerned enough about pattern durability that they may go back. Fyi, they arrived in very solid exterior packaging and unbroken, but they were missing paper between most of the plates. The other plates that came with them (also unbroken) were in a heavily soiled box. It seems pretty likely they’ve been purchased and returned. Since they weren’t damaged that doesn’t really bother me.

Go to plates

Lunch or snack, this smaller luncheon sized plate is my frequent flyer. Into the microwave or something for a quick rinse. Lightweight and works well with other white dishes. Affordable and generally sturdy. These get used more than any others all day long.

Love these plates & this brand so much! It’s our go-to daily but nice enough to use for entertaining. Love the durability of these. Love the white color because it goes with any & all table settings, decor.

Light weight

Love these plates. We have many sets of the lunch size and dinner size plates. We primarily use the lunch plates for dinner. Just be careful if you do happen to "break" these plates... they don't just break they SHATTER into a a bajillion tiny pieces and will fly everywhere. It's hard to accomplish this but it is doable. They are not shatter proof...they are shatter resistant! Great looking plates for good for young kids moving into more real dishware after using plastic.

I have had this set of dishes since 1975. I love the white and needed a few more to replace some that had been broken. Theses are new and THE PRICE WAS FABULOUS!

Perfect size for portion control. Thin and light but sturdy. Love these dishes.

Had to replace heavy stoneware & just as pictured.

I can no longer use my stoneware and didn't want to spend a lot on replacements. I chose Corelle intentionally, with my arthritic hands and loss of hand strength after repair surgery to tendon in wrist and thumb. The dishes came on time and were exactly as pictured. Nice updated pattern from Corelle. I don't feel so bad having to replace my stoneware.

I replaced some very old dropped bowls. You lose a bowl here and there over the years. The ceramic floor and granite counter tops are unforgiving. So are the grand children.

Nice good size set

Nice good size set, nice color, easy to wash, dish2asher safe, microwave and stove plate warmer safe, they do shatter into a thousand pieces if dropped the wrong way on tile floor. Safe on carpets and wood floors

Lovely classic plates!

Better than expected! I was so pleased with my purchase I ordered another pack! Packed safely so no damage was caused. I was looking for something smaller than the dinner plate but larger than the side plates to add to my collection. These plates are the perfect size and can be used for starters, lunch or if you’re simply trying to manage your portions. Beautifully elegant and classic design! Lovely plates! Highly recommend!
