Good Supportive Pillow

I've had this pillow for several months now and there are basically 2 things that I want to say about it: First, the good news: Before I bought this item, I was experiencing some fairly severe pain in my neck from a fall. After sleeping on this pillow for just a couple of nights, the support it provided helped ease my neck pain entirely. I still use the pillow every night and now have no pain in my neck at all. Secondly, the semi-bad news: When I first got the pillow, the foam had a very strong odor. It took a couple of weeks for the odor to completely dissipate. Because I did get considerable relief using it, I put up with the smell for longer than I normally would have. There is now no odor to the pillow at all. If you can tolerate the odor for a brief period (many foam pillows have this same issue), this is a great pillow and a very good buy. The temporary smell is the only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. As to functionality, it is great and I highly recommend this product.

Great product!

Wow...take my kingdom but don't take my Carex! Seriously, this is a great product in that it worked wonders for me. I am over 60 yo and have been involved in 3 total loss car accidents. These and normal wear 'n tear have taken a toll on my poor neck. When I am awake, I can constantly do loosing exercises for the neck and have no problems. When I am sleeping, I cannot and can easily wake up sore and very tight in the neck area. From the first night I used the Carex, it was as if I had gotten a fresh, 'new' neck when I woke up! Yup, that much of a difference. It has been about a week now and it is the same every morning. And, during the day, I seem to have to do less neck-loosing exercises. This is a really good product. And, yes, it does have a slight, mild 'new' odor for the first few days....which the manufacturer warns you of....and which I did not find offensive. But you can put a pillow case over it at night and unzip it during the day.....it disappears in short order.

Weird when you first get it, but you'll never give it up!

If you buy this pillow, the first time you take it out of the box, you'll think you've been had! If feels like a brick, and you'll wonder "who could sleep on this?" Well you will if you just try it once. It's very dense foam, and when you lay down on it, for the first few seconds, you'll think "this won't work!" Give it a few minutes and your head will sink slowly down into its protective contours, it will make your spine stable and keep your neck in a good position. Once you get used to it, you can even lay on your side and the pillow still is comfortable. I am very happy with this product, and my neck is so much less stiff. Keep an open mind and you'll feel better quickly.

Great Product

I pinched a nerve in my neck while lifting weights. I'm convinced that just sleeping on my back and using this pillow helped to fix the issue. The pain in my arm and neck started going away after I had been using the pillow for only a couple of days. After a couple of weeks of use I was able to drive in my car without causing a flare up. I feel like I'm about 80% recovered after 5 weeks and will continue to use the pillow even after I'm 100% healed. The only bad thing is that it does have a smell that is very noticable...but it does eventually go away...and it was the right price and really works!

O.K.

It's not really what I needed. It's small compared to standard pillows. There is a small curve side and a large curve side. There is no dense, compacted foam section. You kind of sink into the pillow more than I want. It provides some support but not enough for me. It is hard to find an appropriate cervical/orthopedic pillow. It did have a new, plastic smell. I let it air out. I currently use it with a small couch pillow underneath it til I can find another pillow. If anybody has any recommendations for cervical pillows, please send me a message or leave a comment. Thanks.

I've been using this pillow for 2 1/2 years and love it. Went to order one for my son and the price has gone from $20.99 to $34.66! That's a huge increase! May look for a cheaper one.

firm enough

just the right size (a little smaller than a normal pillow), not needed any larger. My other memory foam pillow doesn't have this contoured support and it was starting to make my neck curve in the wrong direction. Slide this one down a little to the base of the neck and its perfect. Wake up feeling refreshed and ready for a day in front of the computer that damages the neck alignment again. I day dream about laying back down on this pillow.

This pillow is comfortable

I use a CPAP with a full face mask and searched for quite a while for a pillow that works well with it. This one does!

Ya no tengo dolor de cuello

Yo sufría de dolor de cuello por las mañanas no importaba la posición en la que durmiera, las almohadas ordinarias no me daban soporte adecuado, probé varias y esta realmente funcionó, tiene memory foam que sí me da soporte en el cuello y en la cabeza, no es dura ni blanda. La verdad la recomiendo mucho.
