The better ninja

Hidden in the shadows, I lurk, waiting for him to walk by. Shuriken in my right hand and another on my katana, he has no way of knowing I'm here. My face so obscured by my C9 Champion Balaclava. I hardly breathe, not wanting to give away my position. I know full well that one slip and my time is done. Then, I hear it from just behind me, "Daddy, what are you doing balled up like that in the corner? I need help with my math homework and Billy spilled the fishbowl again and the fish is flopping around the kitchen and the cat ate his own poop and I'm hungry and..." I know he said more, but his words trailed off, muffled by my sobs. Luckily, the C9 Champion Balaclava not only kept me warm but also absorbed my tears. Warm 'n Cozy for a Walk That's Rosy

I live in windy Southern Idaho. On Thursday I went for a 2 mile walk with the wind blowing @17-25 mph and the temp. was 35 degrees. It didn't take long to regret my decision. My ears got cold and it was hard to breathe. On Friday this C9 Champion Balaclava arrived. The wind was still blowing but even harder than the day before and the temperature had dropped to 28 degrees. It was a poor day to walk, but a great day to test the balaclava. I put my coach's windbreaker on over the C9 Champion Balaclava right after it arrived and reluctantly took off. The balaclava covered my ears and blocked the cold wind from penetrating my upper body where heat is most likely to escape. It was so warm and comfortable that I didn't mind the wind so much even though I had to lean into the west wind when I was walking south. Despite being buffeted like an ocean ship in a gale, my walk was much more tolerable than the day before. ( I was walking with a purpose. ) Needless to say I fell in love with the C9 Champion Balaclava. As one who spends time in the elements, I could tell by looking at it that it would keep me warm. It can be worn over a hat and , for me, it's much more comfortable than an itchy stocking cap. It's also cool looking. I heartily, and with great enthusiasm, recommend this hat. LUV IT!

Champion deivers again - super warm, soft fabric, balaclava is perfect for me.

A balaclava reminds me of a New Zealand TV show called Outrageous Fortune where the main family was involved in crime and the sound of the mother talking about not forgetting to wear your balaclava is something I think about every time I use this - that's a good thought as I loved that show. Anyhow, like most Champion products, this is a top-notch one - the fabric is both soft and thick, providing significant warmth to my head and face on the coldest of northeast winter days and nights. The options for how to wear a balaclava all work flawlessly with this one - whether you want just a hat, as a neck gaiter, as a face mask with just eyes exposed - it handles it well. This is breathable and warm. You can wear goggles and they do not fog up. I use this with my snowboard helmet and the helmet still fits fine and I feel like I'm doing less damage to the helmet liner. Highly recommended.

Live where the air hurts your face? You need this.

My 9-year-old has been begging me for a balaclava since last winter. I took a chance on this one, hoping an adult small/medium would fit him. It does! He has to cinch the face shield part up pretty tightly in order for it to stay in place, but overall, it's a good fit for him. He also likes to cinch up the sides so it hugs his face, but that's just his preference and not necessary for proper fit. I am a woman with a fairly small head and it fits me about the same. Since head and face sizes and shapes vary, and so does personal preference about tightness for an item like this, I really like that this is dually adjustable. My son is thrilled with his "ninja hat." We live in the Midwest, where the air hurts your face in the wintertime. He has really enjoyed being outside this winter a lot more since he has this to help keep him warm. There has been noticeably less whining whenever it's time to play outside. This has been great for him. It's nice and soft, easy to adjust, and washes up easily. Just what we needed. Highly recommend.
