Gentle

A nice everyday mascara that's easy to remove. Just to darken and for length. No fibers or additives for volume. That's all I want. So tired of getting fibers in my eyes.

Great “clean” mascara

I wanted a more natural product that didn’t contain all the added junk. This is the best I found. Color and consistency are great. The only down side is that the bristles on the wand are quite firm and hurt the edge of my kids if I’m not extra careful.

Great natural mascara!

This product is clearly different from mascaras that give you stiff breakable spider lashes. This one goes on easily, with a super flexible applicator. Your eyes will look FABULOUS..... Until you wipe them or touch anything or cry or the slightest thing happens..... This is a NATURAL mascara so keep it in mind. Also it's super easy to wash off and if you accidentally sleep in it, you will look like a raccoon or it will completely disappear from your face, results vary. Anyway, I love it because it's natural and makes my eyes look great and it's easy to wash off and my lashes don't get stiff.

Gentle but full volume mascara

Needed a gentle to remove mascara with volume since I’ve gotten older. This one does the trick!

Pretty good

I like this mascara. It comes off very easily. I’ve had it now for a few months and now it’s starting to get clumpy. I’m not a huge fan of the brush. I prefer softer brushes.

less toxic, not good for bold lash look, quick natural works else clumps up - i use often

pros: avoids toxic ingredients, nice brown color, very natural look cons: only buy if you want the pros, if you're doing a light look, fine. I have great lashes so I normally go a more dramatic look, but can't with this, clumps if you try for heavier, long lashes. bottom line: I use this often as a natural look - use very little on, I just think near my eyes I prefer cleaner ingredients, I want healthier lashes long-term but I also buy L'oreal to to get longer, thicker lash effect.

Heartbreaking

I don't usually write reviews, but thought I should put it out there as, after careful research online and through various other review sites, no one has had the same issue I have. I applied this mascara and immediately my lash line and then eye began stinging pretty strongly. I immediately removed it with Bioderma but it stung for the rest of the day. I was very upset since I am transitioning my make up to all natural,but something in this formula makes me react. I am very sensitive to many things, so there must be something to make me react.... I love Burt's Bees as a company and what they stand for, and love many of their other amazing products, but just a warning to people who know they are very very sensitive, seems you can still react to all-natural products ????

Good mascara (apart from when crying ????)

I chose this as had been looking for make up with less chemicals and kindness to planet and know of the brand. As with all mascaras the more slowly and calmly you apply, the better it looks. Just don’t do what I did: was having stressful morning and running late for appointment, applied it very quickly then ran out of the house in a hurry, reversed into someone’s car, spent 30 minutes an hour going around the houses trying to find out whose car I scraped, eventually exchange details, then drove off and burst into tears as hitting that car was the final straw with other things going on in life - then you will find that this mascara stings, so you end up driving (empty county lane), sobbing, wiping your eyes, sobbing, your eyes stinging so more tears, you pull over and glance in the mirror and it looks like gravy browning streaming down your face, your eyes are red and puffy and stinging. Best to wear this mascara when calm and serene.

Easy to Wear Mascara

This mascara doesn’t feel clumpy or make my eyelashes crusty like some mascaras. It also stays put so you don’t end up with smudges under your eyes by the end of the day.

Cruelty Free and recyclable!

Almost didn't buy this as the reviews were mixed but I specifically wanted something Cruelty Free. The mascara is fine. Not the best, not the worst. Goes on well, stays on reasonably well. Does tend to flake a little but most mascara does by the end of the day. It is cruelty free and the container can be recycled via Terra-recycle and for that I am willing to compromise on performance.

Great mascara, suffered with an allergy to certain makeups for the past year & have found Burt Bees mascara good to use on sensitive eyes, would recommend.
