Great labeling product that runs out too quickly

The actual product unquestionably is a 5-star product. The labels are durable, easy to read and apply with relative ease. (If you have large hands or thick fingers, removing the label from its backing may prove nettlesome, since there isn't much of a tab to pull away. Of course, less tab inevitably means more label surface.) Users should be aware that you'll need to separate the label from its backing by using a finger nail, so if you cut or keep your finger nails short, actually getting to the printed label might cause you some fits and annoyances. The sole reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is because these cartridges do not hold a lot of label tape, and the manufacturer does not provide any estimates of how long the tape will last before one runs out. I accept the inherent trade off in having the Brady system: the ease of use comes with the cartridge system, and there is a limit to how much tape Brady can put in a cartridge. I also accept mileage may vary: I'd just started a huge labeling project and since I wasn't sure I'd bought the correct item, I bought only 1 cartridge. Still, the amount of labeling tape you get (especially in a primary cartridge like black writing on a white label) seems a little low for the price. I just wish Brady had a system where heavy users could recycle the empty cartridges in exchange for a discount on future tape purchases. The the 1 star demerit solely is for the relatively little amount of product you get for the price. The product itself is a 5 star product. One final note: Assume that you're using these for permanent or long-term labeling. The adhesive Brady uses for its labels is VERY effective, and it will leave a residue on whatever surface you put the label on once it sets (about 60 to 75 seconds).

Dependable Product Worth the Price

When I am going to use the labels indoor, I use the cheap ones. When I am going to use outdoors, I go with the original Brady labels that are more durable and resistant to sunlight. Some of the labels on my plant were installed on 2016 and you can read very well the text even after 6 years outdoors in South East Lousiana.

Good Quality for Everyday Use

These Brady vinyl labels are great. We use these for indoor equipment shelters and electrical equipment labels and never have an issue with print quality or adhesion.

Great in Laboratory

As an electrician, I use these to label the electrical receptacles, junction boxes and panels. Works perfectly every time, the adhesion is great. I use these in an ever-expanding chemical laboratory and have had no problems. Even sticks well to 4" squares that have a little too much machine oil on them.

Real Brady Labels

These are real. No knockoff. We do a lot of industrial control wiring. Cable, wire, panel labels of all shapes, sizes in brutal, dirty environments. These labels stick well and go on clean, even with dirty fingers. We tried off-brand labels. Too stiff and didn't stick. You get what you pay for. Buy these with confidence.
