Excellent product, but leaks seed

Update: While the finches pack it full and it's beautifully built, I started noticing large piles of nyjer seed under it after having it for 6 months. During a rain storm I figured out why- there is a huge trail of seed leaking out of the openings. Read below why I love it enough to not toss it out. prior review: This appears to be an excellent product. My birds are using it as much as my sock, so that's contrary to some of the other reviews. The finches love it and it does not seem to waste or spill seed. The design is clean and easy to refill. My previous feeder would fill with moldy seed- this one doesn't seem to have this problem. With the locking and simple bottom tabs, cleaning is a breeze and the angled bottom seems to resist water buildup. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it needs to be refilled regularly for the top two seed ports. With the way my finches love it, I have to top it off almost daily- faster than my sock now.

No birds visiting

This is pretty. Filled with expensive Nuer seeds. Holes are very small. Are the little finches able to peck out seed? I even sprinkled some seed in the extra seed tray. A small bird came by but didn’t seem to peck at the seed. He then flew over to the squirrel feeding platform and began eating kernels of corn. At least bird was a happy visitor. I will wait. If anything shows up, I will update the review. I am going to return it at the end of the review period if no birds as this is a nice looking feeder but too expensive to keep if not being used.

These last! Worth the price!

These last. This is the third one I’ve purchased to replace others that break it can’t be cleaned over time. These are easy to clean, fill and the smaller finches love them!

Personal favorite

I have gone through gobs of reviews and gobs of feeders BASED on reviews, and so far, this has been my favorite feeder. I like how large it is, how attractive it is, and I hang it from a simple shepherds crook-and have no squirrel problem. I have purchased SO MANY anti-squirrel feeders, and finally realized they won't shimmy something skinny, so this feeder and I are close friends. Another perk...I have left it empty for more than a week before, and have never had a bird die from its head getting stuck, and finally, the way it is designed, it seems to not be a comfortable place for doves and big birds, so they just wait for fallout, instead of eating all of my precious black oiled sunflower seed. Love it!!

Piece of Art next to Beautiful Nature(Birds)

When watching birds on it, my first reaction is the birds but my second is the quality of the feeder.

This is a very good and well made bird feeder. The capacity is medium and with nyjer seed , last a few days in summer.
