Adjustable Tension Shower Rod

This one item didn't work for me. I tried to put it up and lock it but it would not keep it's grip and kept falling down. I was not particular fund of this item. This does not mean that other item by other sellers are in the same boat. I think I just got a defective one. I returned it with no problem and I received an apology regarding why I returned it which was nice.

Nice, Serves the purpose

This rod works fine. My wife installed it, was a little difficult for her to tighten, but got it done. Serves the purpose and would buy it again.

Made In USA. Can You Believe It?

Wow! A product actually made in the USA. What an extremely rare find. This rod arrived, as expected, at its shortest length. The rod is encased in a clear plastic sleeve. Removing this plastic sleeve gives access to a paper sheet which is wrapped around the rod. The outside of the paper sheet contains the mind boggling information that this rod was made in the USA. I am surprised that China would allow that. (Sarcasm noted). On the inside of the paper sheet are the installation instructions which are carried out without the need for any tools. My shower walls are ceramic tile. I placed one end of the rod against one wall and by holding the rod with one hand I used the other hand to twist the rod until it reached the other wall. Once the rod was snug I gave it a few more twists to tighten it in place. I then installed the shower curtain rings and the shower curtain and the rod remained firmly seated. This rod cost 5 bucks less then a similar one I had purchased that was made in China. They both worked in a similar fashion but to be fair the one made in China does have rubbery ends which give more gripping power than the USA made with its slick plastic ends. If I encounter any slippage problems with the USA version I will cut out some small rubber covers to glue to each end for improving the grip. No big deal. With the current state of affairs here at home (USA) I am glad to do my small part in helping the horrible unemployment situation. I always try to buy USA made first but can't always find such an item because vendors don't usually tell you where a product is made. If you are in the market for a shower curtain rod please give this one a chance to serve you.

Sturdy in my kids bathroom!

My 2 year old and 5 year old use this in their bathroom and we've had it up for a few months now with no issues! Looks great and very sturdy!

I'm happy with this. It holds snug compared to my last tension rod that kept falling off. It can even hold the weight of a towel. The finish is nice.

Worked Perfectly to mount Vive BaseStations.

I bought two of these inexpensive shower curtain rods to serve as a pole for my pipe clamps that hold up my HTC Vive BaseStations. I was able to fit them vertically between a flat object and my ceiling, and they do that job well. I noted that some of the other reviews were right; if you twist it too tightly is becomes very difficult to undo. I was able to have another person twist one end back while I held the other end, and it came undone without much difficulty. Thank you!

sticky residue

Warning: the label attached to this rod is extremely sticky and leaves a nasty residue. It is very difficult to remove. What a stupid way to package the product.. A paper insert could be included, and would not have to be glued to the curtain rod.

It is very easy to install which is great. However, it is a little bit shaky when I pull the curtain. I hope it can hold up. In addition, one of the two rods I have bought is rusted when it arrives.
