Nice Decorative Indoor Fountain

We purchased this fountain to help improve the humidity while using an electric heater in our three season sunroom. We use only distilled water and the reservoir holds a few cups shy of one gallon. The fountain has been running for three months for 12-18 hours per day and we refill it every two days. We haven’t had any leaks although it does splash a very small amount over the edge when turning it on. A slight trickling sound can be heard when the reservoir is half full or lower. The fountain supports our 10 lb. Maine Coon who’s obsessed with water - she hasn’t tipped it yet. Her “real” cat fountain uses the same size pump so I put a PetSafe filter around the pump in this fountain to prevent hair from getting in the pump and impeller. I empty and clean the fountain and pump every two weeks. It’s a bit of a chore because the connection for the power adaptor is at the base of the power adaptor so you have to fish the entire length of the power cord through the fountain to remove the pump for cleaning. It would be easier to disconnect if the connector was located nearer to the pump.

Nice item for the money

As advertised, this fountain is very light and easy to set up. It will not hold up to any rough handling as the surface can chip. There is also a slightly visible seam. The LED light is SUPER BRIGHT, I had to take steps to dim it down a bit (painted the light emitter white). Also, as advertised, you may have to fill every 2 days, as the reservoir is on the small side, maybe 2 gallons; I fed a line from my drip irrigation into the fountain to address that. for the price, I think it's a great value, looks very nice and works well.

Good fountain for the price

The fountain was exactly what I expected for the price - looks just like the photo & easy to put together. Giving it 4 stars because it’s difficult to hear the water fountain “sound” - but my talented hubby fixed that so the sound of the running water is more audible. Also, I aged it a bit by rubbing soil over the base of it.

Some assembly required

When we attached tubing to LED light ring, the ring came out of top. Pushed ring back in as tight as possible. Plastic tubing would fall off the LED light ring often, as the inside diameter of the plastic tubing is too large, so I had to use a small hose clamp to keep tube from falling off. The solid plastic tubing on bottom of LED light ring is too short. The ends of the plastic tubing are not smooth, so I had to trim off the uneven ends. Update: (5/14/22) Have to unplug electric power cord to mow grass and had to tap pump against side of fountain to start it as would not start on its own. The pump has now stopped working altogether. Update:(5/18/22) I pulled the end of old pump off with pliers. Began a slight 'flicking' of plastic propeller with small, flat blade screwdriver. After a half dozen times, pump began to run. The "strategic structuring" hides a cheap water pump. This formed fiber stone fountain chips and cracks easily. The color fades in a very short time. This fountain is overpriced and made in poor quality.

Decent but!?

I wish there was an option to turn the light off and it was tad bit taller. Good quality so far!

The sphere is not perfectly round

The fountain is simple and easy to put together. The light is bright and works well. The pump is on the small size but with a short lift required, it works adequately. Unfortunately, the sphere is not perfectly round and as a result the water does not flow over the entire surface when the fountain is set level. Ridiculous that this isn't picked up if there is any kind of quality control. It's visible to the naked eye...flat spots all over it. Unfortunately, too inconvenient to return it ....and as it's sold and fulfilled by Amazon...no access to the product supplier. Way over priced and NOT PLEASED.

No tube

It did not come with the tube. What size do I need to go buy for it? I can hardly hear the water. Is this normal? I bought it to hear water so am disappointed

Xbrand would not get back to me

The pump failed very quickly. I contacted the website within the one year warranty period and they did not get back to me.
