Better than original bracket!

Loved it. Might just replace my other storm door’ bracket.

too flimsy and will tear and then break.

I found that this bracket is too thin, with the larger surface area the metal is too thin and the stress of the door will tear at the back of the bracket near the base. I remedied this by drilling and using 2 more screws near the back at the base of the part, without the screws holding it it allows the base to twist and eventually crack and break.

Great replacement from factory

Over time, the factory screws seem to pull out quite a bit. The benefit of this replacement was that the same holes aren't needed. The bracket is bigger so that it covers the original holes. One thing I did that worked out great is I got 2 thin pieces of plate steel and added that on the both side of the wood frame. I then got 3 inch bolts and drilled through the wood and steel. White paint and those 3 inch (3/16 size approx) made it so strong. I replaced both the top and bottom brackets. As with any overkill handy man, I probably could hook my tractor onto this and I think it now will hold it's own. Looks good too. The picture is just from the inside. The other side looks similar except that it is just the other side of the bolts.

Very sturdy

The original hardware broke off so when I ordered this bracket I was surprisingly shocked how sturdy it was. The replacement bracket is universal to go over frame from which the old bracket was removed and Easy to install for my existing storm door. For the price, Buying the bracket was worth it. Took less than 2 minutes to install and tested

Better than OEM

My bracket broke off and when installing it, it would be bended. It was a 2 piece system where one slided into the other. This is a 1 piece that is mounted by 6 screws. I screwed 4 and holds very sturdy. Ended up going to buy another one to replace the bottom as previous bracket would have eventually broke off as original one did.

OK FOR THE JOB

I like the product, however it has kinda tin likeness to it. It's sturdy enough yo do the job, but not HARD metal. Would recommend if your job doesn't require extreme mounting.

Easy to install

Sturdy, easy to install. Comes with 6 holes and long screws. Perfect replacement to existing one that brook. Door frame doesn't look great but bracket is secured well with hardware. Great deal.

Better than original!

Amazing. Better than the one that came with my original screen door (metal finally gave out). This has six screws and longer. Just buy it.
