Love this
Buy this I promise it’s what you want. The filter itself doesn’t drop even quinoa. It also doesn’t bend easily but don’t be rough when cleaning. I’m not rough with it but ai wasn’t rough with the one I got from target and that one bent like crazy. I love that the handle is wood it just a looks very modest but elegant. I’ve been wanting a lot of appliances with light wood lately. I have a colander that’s silver for other cooks and that’s from target for $8 it’s beautiful and hasn’t rusted for me. Check it out I recommend you have one of those too for fruits and veggies but not messy stuff unless you don’t care that cleaning it can be a drag sometimes. & if you guys are on the hunt for good beautiful perfect wooden spoons I recommend Vermontspoon on Etsy! Omg I bought one and immediately bought a whole bunch more they’re pricey but I just can’t recommend them enough!!!!! You need their spoons in your life I promise you! They’re so soft you could massage a new born baby with it and you won’t want to put the spoon down it’s that soft and beautiful. I have all their cherry spoons. Please go get one they deserve the hype and you deserve to get a perfect wooden spoon that will last and looks beautiful with full functionality that won’t stress you out or crack. I’m excited for mine to build character. Ellen and Jeff deserve your business.

I like how big it is. I needed a large size strainer for acini de pepe and other smaller pastas as normal colanders holes are too big for these. I had no problems with this and it arrived in good condition.

Finally, a big, single mesh strainer that works!
I've wasted a good deal of money trying to find a strainer that met my needs. I think that this one finally does. Pros: It is BIG. It has a handle on one end and a "semicircular" wire rod on the other that enables me to hang the filled strainer across the larger basin of my double basin sink without any slippage into the sink. It holds a lot of "stuff" to be strained and so far (4 uses) the wire mesh has not separated from the metal rim (I recently loaded it almost full with overcooked rice and then washed the rice using my faucet sprayer and the mesh held up just fine). The strainer is single mesh (I've tried double and they are just too hard to clean) the mesh size was small enough that almost all of the rice stayed inside the strainer (very little washed down the drain). The single mesh cleaned up as well as could be expected given that no mesh is all that easy to clean. It deforms a little bit if you squish the mesh, but I didn't take off any stars for that because the flexibility did not affect the strainer's performance. I hope this strainer holds up over time because it is my new favorite when I need a "plus-sized" strainer.
