Good for the value

3.5 stars This makeup sponge works well for the price. I don't love it, but it gets the job done. The texture and shape makes it difficult to contour around my eyes. The benefits are that it holds up well, is easy to clean, and is a good value for the price.

A little too soft

It’s so soft but doesn’t hold its shape. I usually use this to dab foundation on my cheeks and that’s about it. It is a bit easy to clean so that is nice.

Good Blending Sponge

This review is for the Wet n Wild hourglass makeup sponge. It comes in packages of one or two. I got the purple one set. I like using sponges as they seem to blend smoother and I feel like I don't waste as much foundation. This is in an hourglass shape. I don't find the shape to be an advantage or disadvantage but do know the flat bottom can be used wider areas. The sponge expands some when wet. I can do all of my makeup routine with this sponge - primer, foundation and bronzer.

Decent Sponge

This sponge is ok. I've tried many makeup sponges. This one has an interesting shape, and it gets a little bit bigger when soaked in water. I liked the bottom, flat part of this sponge for my face. The tip is not tapered enough for under-eye area. If you are looking for light coverage with your foundation, this sponge is for you. Otherwise, it takes off a lot of product when using it.

Not for me.

I'm sorry y'all. I just cannot seem to jump on this sponge bandwagon. I know these sponges have been around for years, its nothing new. And I have disliked them for years. To me they are just gross. I'm sure its not the product's fault entirely. I have dry skin. Anything that goes on my face just sits there. I have dry patches here and there and post partum doesn't help with it either. I don't use a lot of heavy products on my face. In fact I only use the Wet N wild primer and their tinted hydrator (which btw are excellent I cannot recommend enough) This sponge is just like most sponges out there. The best way how I can explain it is that it just displaces makeup lol. When I wet the sponge it does puff up in size, but I'm not sure if it helps with the application. If you already use sponges and they work for you and you're just in town looking for a new one then I guess this one is worth a shot because its very affordable.
