Okay product.

It is a plastic medallion made to go on the ceiling under a light fixture. Hard to mess that up. Well made. Price seemed high to me.

Not our favorite medallion

We bought a few different ceiling medallions when we put new ceiling fans up in our house. This one was a little bit flimsy than most of them but it might be just by design. We noticed the edges kind of came away from the ceiling when we tightened our ceiling fan down. The smooth part of it it has sort of a wood texture to it that you can't really tell from the picture in the ad so be ready for that. It seems that the medallions that have a more elaborate designed to them or a little bit stiffer when you actually mount them this matters I guess if you have an old house like we do in the ceiling is not as flat as we would prefer. We were able to make up some of the edges that game away on other medallions but using a little caulking and painting over them with ceiling paint.

Ceiling Medallion

This is exactly what I needed. I bought a light fixture that did not quite cover the hole, and this will do the job. Very sturdy, paintable (which is awesome!). Good value for the money.

Medallion has a wood like texture

This medallion has a wood like texture, I wanted to return it but it was going to cost me more to return it than to keep it- now I am stuck with it.

Definitely plastic!

I bought this fully aware it was plastic and had wood grain patterns on it. Because our ceiling fixture in our kitchen was directing too much light toward the ceiling, we "Kentucky chromed" it and put it back up. (We painted it with chrome spray paint.) It now does a really nice job of hiding my husband's less than stellar ceiling tile installation and reflects light back downward at a fraction of the cost of most other ceiling medallions we looked at both online and in stores.

Motif de bois

J'ai commandé ce produit car je croyais qu'il était uni, du moins c'est ce qu'on voit sur la photo. Ce n'est pas le cas, l'intérieur est fait en faux relief aspect bois, ce qui est vraiment moins esthétique. Belle épaisseur par contre, je n'ai même pas eu besoin d'utiliser des vis plus longues pour fixer les luminaires.
