Awesome way to can buy has one flaw

I am able to get so much more canned at once which is awesome! The problem is the way the box is designed with a lip to hold the lid, when you have jars in the bottom there is no way to angle the 2nd rack to slide it into the box! The top rack needs to be smaller so you can lay it on the jars.

Love this canner!

I love this canner! I got it so I can can my tomato harvest as quickly as possible. I'm able to get a large number of jars in this canner and using two burners on my stove it heats up quickly. One warning is that it is very heavy. If you can not lift heavy items and don't have help available you may need to skip this. I have to be very careful moving it, even empty. I fill it with water after it is on the stove and use pitchers to empty it after it has cooled.

Pluses and minuses

This is not a tool for a novice canner. I have been canning for more than 40 years and have never been more concerned for safety. I put the pot to the test with 12 quarts of pickles. The best features of this product are the shape, as it fits neatly over two burners and the size/depth, you can fit 15 quart jars across the bottom with plenty of head space for boiling. Even though the promotional information indicates that you can "double-stack" jars, the canner is not deep enough to double stack any jars except half-pints. It is important to allow 1-2 inches of boiling water over the top of jars in a water bath canner. The downside are some serious safety issues. The handles which the consumer installs, come with tiny screws, no more than a few mm. The handles should ONLY be used for moving the pot when it is totally empty. It is important to not fill the pot with water above the handles because when the water is boiling it spits out of the handle holes as well as the lid handle. The lid fits so well that there is no way for the steam to escape during boiling. During processing, the boiling water spit out of all three handles but also the lid bounced up and down spewing even more hot water all over the stovetop and the floor! I stood back and watched to make sure that the hot water would not put out the flame on my gas stove. When the processing time was up, I carefully turned off the stove and lifted the lid. I was rewarded with a blistering cloud of steam and condensation dripping from the inside of the lid. If I decide to keep this pot I will do these things: - get bigger screws and flat washers for the handles - not fill the pot with water above the handle level, be careful about the water level rising from displacement when you add the jars of food - once the pot starts to boil, I will turn the lid a little to allow steam to escape - put a bath towel on the floor in front of the stove to soak up the spray

This was a Christmas gift....so know nothing about it. It sounds like exactly what she wanted and a lot less expensive than some brands.

Research and Duplicate product

Did anyone try canning like the picture shows? It seems to me the water would run out the side?? Maybe the people who build and advertise this product do not have a clue what they are used for. Your purchase here supports copying American products and having them made across the water.

This does not do what it says it does

There is no way you can stack a second level of jars in this canner, even the 1/2 pint jars as some people have stated. The tiny screws for the handles will ensure you could never move this with water in the canner. Epic fail. Bout two (one was a gift). Returning BOTH. F- !

Second rack doesn't fit!

This comes with 2 racks, for the purpose of processing double the amount of pints (by stacking). The problem is, both racks are the exact same size, and hardly fit into the canner when its empty. The 2nd rack will in NO way fit into the canner if you have a layer of pints in, making it absolutely worthless. Customer service sent me multiple videos of them putting both racks into an empty canner,saying I wasn't doing it right...concensus being that I should just send it all back ???? so be ready to buy a separate smaller rack, or modify the one included.
