Pudeli lai avaus ja eemaldatav lame põhi muudavad täitmise lihtsaks ja puhastamise imelihtsaks. Koolibri sööturi puhastamisel ärge pange sööturit nõudepesumasinasse, kuna kõrge temperatuur võib sööturi osi jäädavalt kahjustada. Enamik ekspertallikaid ei soovita nõude pesemist, kuna see ei pruugi ühtki lindude haigust täielikult desinfitseerida. Lisaks ..

FAVORITE HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER
I am VERY happy with this feeder. I have tried many many different feeders over the years and this one is my all time favorite! For my needs it easily holds one cup of nectar (1 cup of distilled water with 1/4 cup of plain white sugar dissolved in it) but could hold 12 oz. if needed. So easy to clean because it has a wide enough opening that allows me to use a bottle brush to clean the inside of the glass bottle. All other parts are also very easy to clean with "flowers" on the ports that can be removed for through cleaning. The top has a built in ant moat for deterring ants. Comes with an S hook to hang it. I don't have a lot of hummingbirds so this is just the right size for my needs. It is also available in a larger size that holds more nectar.

Hummingbirds love this one!
I was happy to find this feeder and will probably be ordering another one in the next week or two to keep up with all the hummingbirds that sometimes swoop in at the same time. This feeder is study and attractive. My husband cleans the feeder and really likes that it is a glass feeder vs the plastic ones we started out with. It is sturdy and easy to clean and fill. The birds are very attracted to it.

if you love hummingbirds, you need to pick up one or ...
Seriously, if you love hummingbirds, you need to pick up one or more of this type of feeder from More Birds. I now have two of the 40 ounce Big Gulp, two of the 20 ounce, and 4 of the 10 ounce. The two 20 ounce feeders look very similar to the 10 ounce only on steroids with 7 feeding ports. These feeders will bring the little hummers in like no other popular brand out there. I've had quite a few of those and none have had the amount of birds at them as these have. Not only that, but it is consistent throughout the day. The other feeders were lucky to have two birds at one time where I went through maybe 40 ounces of sugar water a week. That was in feeding around 35 birds daily. This season, I decided to replace several of the fancy feeders I had since the petals and perches were breaking on the lightest touch. It had gotten to the point I was gluing toothpicks to the T posts (the perches themselves were breaking off but not the main support) Oh sure, those feeders looked pretty with their hand painted flowers but the fill opening was smaller than a dime which meant I would need a small funnel to fill. Cleaning them was always a chore because I couldn't find a brush to fit the opening. I ended up gluing a toothbrush to a piece of heavy cloths hanger and used that. Now these feeders by More Birds are easy to fill as well as easy to clean. The wider mouth and the single piece flowers for ports really do the trick. One of my 40 ounce feeders and two of the 10 ounce, has the old style 3 petal flower like the picture for the add here. The others including the 20 ouncers I just received have the flatter 5 petal flowers. But honestly, I haven't seen a difference as to which the hummers prefer. They will drain the feeders at about the same time.I have yet to see any of these feeders leak (all have security cameras focused on them) and a biggie, don't tighten the bottoms like your He-Man or Shera! You'll never get the bottom back off. All it needs to be is snug. If you cross thread the bottom to the glass top, it will leak just as if you were holding it at an angle. AND, these feeders do hold the advertised amount. Yes, I measured. You won't lose a drop when you turn them over after filling unless your really slow or have cross threaded the base. This year, with the introduction of these feeders to my collection and ultimate replacement of my others, the numbers of the little hummers at the feeders has skyrocketed from 35 a day to to better than 400 a day at the peak of the season going through about 100 ounces of sugar water daily. (4 parts water to 1 part white table sugar and NO Coloring added) These 20 ouncers will be put into service next season and I am anticipating at least 500 or more of the little hummers a day to visit my feeders. Why not put them out now? Well, this is the time when these little hummers are migrating and in this area it usually starts towards the end of August to early September. The last of my regulars are usually gone by mid September though this year they left early. The transients are coming through right now so the numbers at the feeders have dropped off significantly. By mid October the migration will have ended at least for this area, but I'll leave some feeders up in case there is a straggler or two. When I don't see any activity at the feeders for at least a week, then I'll go ahead and take them down. I live in SouthWestern Virginia about 800 feet from the Blue Ridge Parkway. If y'all can't tell, I love these feeders. They appear to be well made and sturdy enough to last for years to come. If y'all want to see pictures, I did post some in my Review for the Big Gulp 40 ouncer. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DT2XOIG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 On a final note, these feeders were shipped through Amazon. I was afraid they would arrive broken since Amazon isn't known for packing things well, but they didn't. They came in a Manufacturer Box which was stabilized inside holding the feeders snug. Then since I ordered two, they were placed in yet another box furthering the cushioning. So there was absolutely no breakage whatsoever! :)

Hummers love it
I’ve had many different types and they avoid them- this one they flock to!! We’re in zone 7b and it gets very hot! I order replacement flower ports and replace them 1/2 way through the season because they get brittle. The feeder itself lasts 2 years - the base can not be replaced (unfortunately)! I have extra glass that I fill with fresh nectar refrigerated so I always have fresh on hand to replace in a few days

Hard to Open
This was a great feeder at first. Easy to clean, no leaks, works well. But it got harder and harder to open each time. I tried to never overtighten it, but every time I go to open it to clean and re-fill, it was cemented on there! I ended up breaking the glass trying the last time (and OW my hand and wrist!)

Quality control has deteriorated
UPDATE: I bought 4 of the Garnet feeders and 3 of the Big Gulps prior to placing my latest order. We live on an acre and have these spread out in the yard. You can see my glowing review on these feeders below. I ordered two more Garnets to have spares to swap out, and am dropping my rating to 1 star with this latest set. It seems like the manufacturer has switched to a new glass supplier and/or their quality control has gone to crap. Unlike my previous feeders, the new ones have a very rough glass edge at the mouth opening, and a poor fit of the plastic basin to the glass. The rough glass adds a lot of friction, making it hard to screw the bases on or remove them. Worse, it acts like sandpaper and little bits of plastic are flaking off the basins every time I screw them on and off. It's the same on both feeders. These things aren't going to last more than a few weeks before the plastic on the bases completely wears out. I'm returning them to Amazon and getting my money back. As much as I'd like to simply order two replacements, I have zero confidence in their quality control. I'm going to hold off for a year to give them time to fix their quality control issues. What a disappointment to what was an otherwise great product. ____________________________________________________________________ ORIGINAL REVIEW: You really come to appreciate how well designed this feeder is once you're well past your first hummingbird rodeo. It addresses all of the issues I've had with the other feeders I've used over the years. Things I love about it: No Metal Parts to Rust - The reservoir is glass, the flowers and base are BPA free plastic Integrated ant moat - The one-piece design is really clever and saves you from having to deal with multiple parts. Transparent base - Makes it easy to see if there's any nectar or air bubbles at the bottom. With the ones with the solid bases, you're always wondering if there's any food left in the feeder. No painted parts - Which get dingy and flake off after a few years. The color is infused into the plastic, so it should last as long as the plastic does. The thing I won't know for a few years is whether the plastic will become brittle or faded in the sun. Easy to clean - the wide mouth on the reservoir makes the feeder a breeze to clean Nice perches - In the Garnet model I bought, there's a continuous rim perch which gives the hummingbirds plenty of space to sit. It's clear that the team who designed this really understand what they're doing. There are only two minor issues that I think they could have done a better job with: 1. The advertised capacity is misleading - The Garnet model is listed as having a 20oz capacity, but in reality the reservoir only holds 16 oz. They're probably combining the capacity of the reservoir and base to get to 20oz, but that's not right because it's impossible to simultaneously fill both. It's not a big deal with the larger models since 16oz is plenty big and you don't want too much nectar sitting in the feeder and getting moldy after several days, but it might be an issue on the smaller 10oz model, which might actually only hold 6 or 7oz of nectar. As a rule, you only want to put in enough nectar to last 3 or 4 days, so the hummingbirds always have fresh food and to avoid the risk of fatal mold developing, so choose your feeder capacity based what you think your needs are. 2. The hanging hook is flimsy and a hassle - they provide a small metal S-hook to hang the feeder, but it's not permanently attached to the feeder and is easy to drop or lose. I ordered some key chain rings and carabiners on Amazon to use instead. That will give me a more solid hanger that stays attached to the feeder. Despite these nits, the Garnet is a great, attractive feeder that the best hummingbird feeder design I've ever tried. Hopefully the plastic parts will have longevity and I'll be happy with this feeder for years to come.

I do not recommend buying
This humming bird feeder is easy to clean and humming birds seems to be able to feed, but that is the only quality I can say about it. For the price, it is suprisingly badly designed and built: -Upon arival, the plastic threads on the base seemed in bad shape, with plastic bits pealing off. The threads on the base and the bottle are very difficult to align, as if the bottle was made with imperial mesures and the base with metric. You have to somewhat awkwardly level the base onto the bottles and do several attempts before it screws on correctly (it always want to screw on with a tilt), and when you do manage to screw it on properly, it makes an uncomfortable plastic screeching sound and doesn't really seem to fit. With the plastic comming off of the threads, I am worried that it may contaminate the nectar. -the ant moat is a plastic part that is screwed on top of the bottle, but it is glued there and is not removable. Contrary to other desings that scews on and off (such as perky pet), each time I want to clean and fill the bottle I have to deal with the oil I put in the cap (this feeder attracts a lot of ants), which to me is another erksome desing to the feeder. -once the bottle filled up and put upright, the base tends to not fill up due to improper venting at the base. You have to tilt the feeder (and in the process, inevitably make a mess) to allow sufficient air to enter the bottle and let the nectar fill the base. Really a shame that the threads on the fitting part are so badly made, it really just cancels the quality of this product. I purchased at the same time a feeder from perky-pets to test out different desings and there construction is 100% functional contrary to this one. I will not purchase from this company again

Nice-sized, attractive feeder.
A great feeder, the hummingbirds found it within a couple hours of putting it out. The fact that they can perch allows them to rest while eating and you to observe them for a while, always a bonus. One lesson we learned: the morning after leaving it out the first night the feeder was empty, hook was bent and all of the flowers were on the ground directly underneath the feeder. Best guess after a little research, was that a big gray squirrel we had noticed in the yard must've come for a drink. Apparently they like sugar-water as well so now we bring it in at night.

Buen bebedero

Nice feeder
I looked at a lot of feeders and this one hit most of my wants. It is easy to clean and the birds like it, I haven't had it for summer months to see if wasps are able to get in the florets as the hole seemed a little large. I do like the deer but info think it was a bit expensive but would recommend it to others.
