Very good, very comfortable, very stable

The Ortho wrap-around gives a moderate amount of support....what I need to deal with stairs and shopping trips, and bad days when my knees don't want to function because of arthritis. I studied knee braces quite a bit: most have design problems that make them more of an inconvenience than a help. These have many good features that make them perform well, and may make them last better than the typical. They might even fit under some baggy pants...we'll see. I can't imagine any of these style braces lasting for prolonged intense use unless they are made of the finest leather.....so curb expectations and complaints for any wrap-around style knee braces not custom-made. Here's a tip: a foto of a wrap brace laid out flat will look a bit like a butterfly bandage. BUT, if the attachment points are small, you will have fit problems. This brace looks like a butterfly bandage but with double wings above and below the knee ...making a good fit for most leg shapes since there are 4 places up and down the leg to adjust the snugness of the fit. I don't think I've seen another one like it after a lot of shopping. The big issues are non-concentric hinges, multi point wrap attachments (these have 4), heavy-duty holsters for the hinge straps, soft breathing fabric, semi-closed knee back so that stability is not lost, well-made seams that don't irritate, and removable overlay straps. Obviously I'm really pleased with these Orthos and I hope I don't need metal braces for a long time yet even though my doctor would like me to BUY some offloaders that are crazy expensive.
