Almost lasted through two kids

We have had this thing for almost two years now. Unfortunately we now have to throw this one away and get a new one. It no longer traps smells and in general all the diapers can be smelled from another room if you have a sensitive nose. That being said my child is almost two so it did last a long time. It also worked great entirely for the first year (baby poop/pee doesn’t really stink till they start eating food). I have tried cleaning this entire thing with industrial cleaner and with vinegar. It seems that the silicone parts on the top lid have collected bacteria overtime and it is absolutely impossible to rid of the smell now. I would rather just buy a replacement lid but ubbi doesn’t offer this option. Not sure how to avoid this or if you can since the condensation that collects is a natural process of the diapers sitting in the pail (for any amount of time). I think in general it’s still a nice diaper pail. It holds up well but the condensation within the pail is problem (and adds to the issue I think). However I’ll still buy another. I would rather deal with steel than plastic parts any day of the week. On the positive side the locking feature has been crucial in keeping wandering toddlers from playing in the pail (yuck!).

No special bags required. Seals in odors

We used a plastic trash can for baby diapers - and lots of air fresheners. This is a gift for my first grandchild. I like it’s steel and won’t absorb odors and has an easy opening to add new deposits. They can use regular kitchen trash bags - something easily replaced at the grocery store.

Worked until it didn’t ….

The media could not be loaded. Was really enjoying this product until it broke. We’ve been actively using it for about four months and the handle broke during Norma wear and tear rendering it almost useless. It’s hard to open now with nothing to grasp especially when you have a huge soiled diaper in hand. The design is flawed as this is a highly used piece on this product and the only way to open and close the lid. We are going to try and drill a screw into it or try and super glue but for as expensive as this thing is, I wish it didn’t break! It did keep the odors relatively low and I like that it takes regular trash bags.

Effective at trapping odors but collects condensation and makes odor worse when opened

Nice rugged design, I like the sliding lid and sealing top. Unfortunately the effective odor elimination seal means condensation collects on the inside of the cover, meaning the inside of the can needs to be cleaned ever time the bag is changed or it will make the sent worse.

Does the job

Bought this for my pup wearing belly bands. Works great for the disposable bands. Looks stylish & I usually double up bags. Sometimes I have to set outdoors for a bit to help air out. You can't smell until you open door.

Kam beschädigt an - ist schwergängig

The media could not be loaded. Der Eimer kam soeben stark beschädigt an (stark eingedellt). Die Verpackung ist allerdings vollkommen unbeschädigt. Das lässt darauf schließen das der Eimer schon beschädigt war bevor er versandt wurde - sehr ärgerlich. Leider ist die Öffnung (obwohl diese nicht beschädigt ist) schwergängig und hakt. Ich werde diesen Windeleimer sofort zurücksenden ohne ihn weiter zu testen und ein anderen kaufen.

Excellent diaper pail and saves money in the long run.

This is an excellent diaper pail, the delivery was quick.. it was over a 100$ but it is just on time expense and you would save money on the trash bags as you can use pretty much any trash bag in this pail as per me.. I no longer have to use specific diaper pail bags and this will save money for me in future. Would advise all new parents to look at this pail , initial investment is more compared to other diaper pails but you would save money the longer you use this

I'm happy with the product

I have been using this diaper pail for over a month and so far I don't smell anything bad. I like that I can use regular garbage bag for it. The only thing that I don't like about this product is that when I lift the pail and move it to somewhere else, the lid will open. I wish it could have a lock or some sort.

Must have!!!

I feel the bin is a must have for all postpartum moms. I have been using it since 2 months for both sanitarypads and my baby's diapers. It locks the smell. The bin looks classy, so ok to keep it either in the bathroom or the bedroom. General garbage disposal covers can be used, which is very convenient. However, the same bin is available at a cheaper price outside, a difference of 20$.

Great product.

I have been using this for 3 months with my new born. It’s a sturdy and well built diaper pail. Easy to clean around the opening as it is plastic. You can use any kitchen garbage bag with the Ubbi so it is cost effective. You pay more upfront but save a lot by not having to use any specific type of bags.
