Fun, but flawed

I wrote another review for the Starscream and Bumblebee that match up with these so here's the good for these two. -durable, after 6 months they are still holding up well. -good price -and transformations are not too complicated. My 4 year figured them out with a little help. There are some negatives - Optimus prime doesn't come with a gun. Again, why? They did this with the Bumblebeeas well and it makes no sense. - Megatron's transformation, while easy to figure out, is hard to actually complete. It's hard to describe in writing, but the final steps involve folding two parts at the same time and they don't really line up the way they are supposed to. My son gets it close enough that he can still play with it, so it's fine. I would still recommend this toy if you have a younger kid who's into transformers. These toys strike a good balance between being complicated enough to be fun, but not so complicated that it's frustrating. Some of the other kids transformers are so simple they are boring and these aren't that.

Perfect for younger kids

Perfect for my five year old he had the bumblebee and starscream from this same company and they lasted I think two years. He got them when he was three so I think that’s pretty good for that age how hard they are on toys. The Optimus looks like the transformers earth spark Optimus so I thought that was pretty cool and so did my son. My son really enjoys these. I bought some higher priced ones and he prefers these to them.

Only reason it's missing 1 star In my review is I personally think it's a lil harder to transform back and forth than I thought it would be. But it great gift for sure.

They are durable & for good value too

Good quality, bad packaging

I got these for my son for christmas. They are transformers, however the box they are in is very sad and bland. No awe factor when going to open them. The box is plain brown with black printing. So although the toys themself are good quality, the gifting factor sucks with the packaging.
