Very clear numbers for poor eyesight

I have worn Timex watches for years. I have a couple of very elegant watches, but their batteries quit after a year. They also lose time and have to be reset now and again. This watch is correct to the second, as checked against an Atomic clock which takes its time from the national atomic clock. I chose this model because the numbers are clear and my eyesight is getting iffy. The night light is great and I use it fairly often.

Bought for 84 year old mom

Purchased men’s as face is larger and band loose so no redness, heat sores, and big numbers. This is the second I bought. Band could use strengthening but my 84 year old mom is not gentle with it. There’s a lot of bumping and dropping. But comfortable and easily on and off at night. Would definitely suggest as price is right for the use she gets. Would but again or give as gift. Worth it.

Nice Watch

This is a mens watch but I bought it for my MIL in the hope that she might be able to see the face (macular degeneration). She could not so I returned it but it is a nice, well made watch.

AWESOME TIMEX

I purchased this for my 86 year old husband. I liked the fact that it was very easy to read, and the wrist band was a hook and loop, which makes it very easy to put on and take off.

Meet the new watch...same as the old watch!

I had purchased the same watch nearly nine years ago, but after the bracelet strap broke, the winding knob became somewhat tarnished, and finally after so many years the battery showed signs of needing replacement, I decided to replace the entire watch with the same model as it is a style that I like and find comfortable to wear. I was disappointed to find that the watch, at £66, was priced around £22 pounds higher then the one I bought in 2012, but went ahead anyway. My order arrived well ahead of schedule, but I was not impressed by the shoddy packaging. The flimsy box containing the watch felt damp inside the plastic bag and thin bubble wrap, and the watch itself was mounted in a plastic structure which was annoyingly difficult to remove. I recall that my 2012 watch was encased in a sturdy cardboard jewellery type box, the type that is nice and useful to keep. So, standards have fallen while the price has dramatically risen! However, the watch appears to be of the same high quality as previously, and I expect another near decade of use at the very least, so overall I'm happy, or at least I was until I just noticed that, two weeks on, the price has dropped to just under £50.....arrrrrgh!! I have given the purchase only three stars, as it's a five star product in one star packaging, and priced questionably high.

Nice Classic Looking Watch

I like the clean & simple style of the watch, also the clear, easy to read dial, time & date both clearly visible. It was going when I received it & the date was out of sync. No instructions, just the guarantee in the box, but found out how to turn the hands to match actual noon & midnight 12 and then set the date. It is a bit fiddly to set the date but patience does it! I can see why some might say the bracelet is too tight for a big wrist, but it is fine for me.

Fantastic watch for an elderly neighbour

Purchased this watch for an elderly neighbour. She was having a hard time seeing the numbers/time on her old ladies sized watch, so this much larger face with numbers makes a huge difference. The strap was teeny bit too big, but not enough to get it adjusted - so fits her small wrists well without being stretched. Waterproof is a bonus so that she can keep it on all the time, as well as the Indiglo light by pushing the crown. Very easy to set and over a week has kept excellent time. Highly recommend this watch.

The best for value and usefulness

Had it a week and it is accurate to within within about 4 seconds. The light is the best bit - read under circumstances even if your eyes are going a bit! And it was the only gold one. Fitted perfectly out of the box. Maybe not as elegant as some but they don't have the indiglo light which I depend on!

That an item is as described.

The bracelet is to tight and I do not have a large wrist, otherwise it seems quite a nice watch. It seems more like a ladies watch than a mans watch. I am going to see how much it will cost to make it fit more comfortably before I send it back.
