Beautiful but not absorbent.

I love the design of the coasters. Super cute! I did a search for sandstone coasters, and these were in the results. Unfortunately, I didn't realize they're travertine. That's my own fault. They don't absorb water as well as sandstone. The water does absorb . . . . eventually. Maybe, it evaporated. Haha! Either way, the coasters are beautiful, and I'm happy with the purchase. Because, we'll be using these at the dinner table, they'll always be used with a stemmed glass, which seems to create less of a condensation issue. So, for my purposes, I think they will be just fine. If you're planning to use them for tumblers, I'd think twice.

Best coasters for humid climates.

I live in a humid climate and these are the only coasters that really soak up sweat from a glass. I like that they are heavy and the wine artwork is nice. I have bought 2 sets and would buy again.

These are nice and look great

These are nice and look great. Be careful though, since they are natural stone they do break quite easily. Someone put their feet on the coffee table, one of these ended up under their foot and it cracked.

somewhat misleading

The title is Italian stone, which means the stone is Italian, but the labels are french not Italian. Otherwise nice coasters. Thinner than I thought they would be, but still one of the nicest coasters out there.
