LED not great

The tank itself is great. Not too heavy. It doesn't have that overly plastic feeling or look. No leaks. The LED lights did burn out on day 2 of use.

Pretty happy with the tank

The only problem I have with the tank was the led light has issues staying on the lid, using some silicon safe for Marine use to help keep it on and been good since, I also like how theres enough space in the tank for the small betta community I have for the set up with the 5ember tetras and my male Betta and the snail. Gives them enough space that they interact but also have their own space to thrive. Another thing which is not a big deal but the lip for the lid doesn't seem to work well unless you push down a bit because it seems the tanks a bit warped or the lid is ever so slightly but for the price to quality it's not a bad tank. I'm pretty happy with mine.

Overall ok but horrible lid

Overall it's an ok aquarium. The lid is a terrible fit. We are having to tape it in place or our cat will have a sushi buffet. Once the lid is taped in place it is strong enough to hold an eight pound cat and the feeder hole is big enough for a paw to go into. Further modifications have been made and no fish were harmed in the discovery of how horrible this lid actually is. The filter is quiet and we added a bubbler to it and overall it gives our fish the room they need.

pros vs cons

CONS: lid doesnt stay on quite right. its all plastic feeling. i dislike the haunting cold color of the included light. It came with a hairline crack in base from shipping. IRREGULAR SHAPE MEANS REPLACEMENT LID OPTIONS ARE LIMITED. its never reccomended to move a full or partially full aquarium, but i especially dont reccomend to do so with this tank. DOES NOT INCLUDE HEATER. The included filter is too strong for betta or shrimp, but what the hell else are you putting in a 5 gallon? PROS: it makes only a little bit of noise. If youre bothered by mechanical buzzing like that of a fridge then you'll want to swap the included filter. tank looks good, and is a good height and width for a couple nice aquarium decorations. Included light is bright and connectors for cables all worked & fit well. The space on the lid made room for the light, filter, 2 heaters, and tubing for sponge filter. overall: I got this on a very low sale price, and I would reccomend others ONLY do the same, or better: save up to get a good glass aquarium from your local fish store.

Good but not great

I like the size and shape of the aquarium. I upgraded from a 1.5 gal. one to this. You can adjust the flow of the filter pump in case it's too loud or strong which I just did. I dislike the lid. It's flimsy and hard to get it on just right. It's fallen into the water a few times as I've been trying to replace it. It does have cutouts for the filter and the light and heater cords.

Nice aquarium but stresses my beta

This aquarium is nice, works fine. The filter isn’t too loud if it isn’t touching the lid. The lid barely rests on top and has fallen in when I’m adjusting it more than once. The filter is adjustable but creates quite a downward flow if it’s turned up. My biggest problem is that because of the angles of the aquarium, my beta always sees his reflection whether the lights are on or off and he’s always stressed out thinking there’s another fish. Poor guy can’t just relax in his home. Looking for a basic square/rectangle aquarium now.

Wish the lid was better

This tank is overall very nice. I love the way it looks, and I’ve had 2 bettas in it that did very well. The lid however kinda sucks. It is not secure, and has warped so it won’t even stay on the tank. It also sits on the filter, so it’s really loud

Awesome for beginners

Really good tank for beginners, please know the capacity of your tank before you go fish shopping. The filter is really good only comes with one filter, this filter has to be replaced weakly for a clear tank. It’s quite unless the water level is a bit lower than the suggested level. So far we’ve enjoyed it.

Cheap tank

At first we thought it was an ok first tank for our son. When adding water into the tank it cracked along the bottom. When we emptied and tried to move the tank it broke in two pieces. Very disappointed with this purchase.

Arrived without the cover so couldn’t use it. Unfortunate as it was a Christmas present.

The product arrived without the cover. Not a good experience as it was bought as a Christmas present for our 5 year old son. We had to go to the pet store and buy another on Christmas Eve. Didn’t even get to use the product because of the defect. Charlene

Arrived with broken filter charcoal spilled very messy

I was so looking forward to using this upon finishing my renovations, unfortunately, upon opening the box the filter was broken and charcoal was everywhere a very big mess and an unusable tank. I am left with a tank and a loose light a replacement lid and filter would make for a more positive review
