Handy tool...

Used this little goody when hanging vertical steel-shelf standards. The magnetic-attachment feature makes getting the parts plumb/level a breeze.

Poor quality which caused at least a 10 to 15 degree error when compared to my 3 other levels. I used 3 accurate levels to measure a vertacal wall. They all matched very closely. This product was at least 10 degreed different than the other three. Not good and not useful at a tool.

Great level except for the magnets

It has a nice large cylinders that are much easier than an Empire level to read and it has better feel in the hand. The downside is the magnets are weak, and pop out somewhat easily.

Bought a few torpedo levels w magnets and all were inaccurate or magnets were too weak. This one ended my search, works great

I Must Be Missing Something?

I bought this level based on the 4.7 stars and Amazon's Choice badge but I should have paid more attention to the 3 star reviews. First off I have a Swanson TL009M, 9inch level (also sold here on Amazon). My TL009M level works great but it's 10 years old now and due for replacement as one of the bulb vials developed a double bubble that won't go away. I was going to buy the Same level when I came across this TL002M model which cost less and is made of solid aluminum which I thought I'd like better but turns out I don't and here's why. First off the level is accurate and well made like all Swanson levels I've owned. The solid aluminum looks good and I thought would be more accurate but it's not. I missed the rubberized ends and smooth edges on the TL009M level. This TL002M level has sharp edges and corners all the way around the whole level. These will smoothen and wear over time but in some cases they are dangerously sharp. The biggest disappointment with the level is the strength of the magnets and that they are located on the smooth edge and not the beveled edge like on the TL009M model, I found it odd that the magnets are on different side of the level. The magnets on this TL002M are also much weaker than the TL009M model. Overall this TL002M level is a good level, just not worthy of the 4.7 starts and Amazon Choice badge. The magnets are weak, the edges are sharp, it can scratch or mark the surface easily, there are no rubberized ends to cushion impact or prevent marking the surface. I ended up sending this level back and paid a few more dollars and got a TL002M level ... I personally wouldn't recommend this TL009M level but would recommend the upgraded model the TL009M model. Check out BOTH models before you click the buy button!

Dissapointed

Had great hopes for this level bases on the reviews. Quality looked good , but the accuracy is in doubt. The Plumb vile is out all most half a bubble. Lined this one up against two others I had and sure enough it was out. The level and 45 are good.but the plumb is out. Too bad as I use this for setting up a telescope where accuracy is vital.

Wish the magnet were a little more powerfull

It work well as long as you don't shake it too much , cause the magnet are a little on the weak side . Appart from that nothing to say its well build and level is accurate.

Es muy buen nivel la verdad no me convencía pero decidí comprarlo ahora que lo tengo en mis manos veo que es muy bueno y qué es de muy buena calidadno le pide nada a otros niveles de mano es muy bueno de muy buena calidad y de muy buen material totalmente en aluminio obviamente tiene partes de plástico pero muy buen nivel me convence al 100 llegó en un tiempo adecuado y también Amazon muchas felicidades

TOTAL GARBAGE

Im a commercial plumber and I’ve bought two of these levels, TOTAL WASTE. The centre level was defective on both and wouldn’t give me a proper reading. When using other levels from co workers the readings were way off on the Swanson. Do not buy this
